We’ve got a week and one day before the election, which means those television ads and fundraising emails or texts are about to end. OK, so the ads will end (for a minute), but the fundraising never will. The party campaigning to “get money out of politics” is not about to give up the billions they raise from their millionaire and billionaire donors – they’re evil, not stupid.
Until the election, however, the current crush of fundraising panic will only increase.
Ken Burns, a guy who has made millions off the backs of American taxpayers with his documentaries on PBS (You ever get a Ken Burns check for all those DVD sales? I didn’t), has become a favorite of the Left this election. He’s raised money for Democrats from New Hampshire down to Georgia.
In an email just yesterday, multimillionaire Burns wrote, “I’ve dedicated my life to telling America’s stories through film. Oftentimes, these stories aren’t easy. They examine moments of our country in crisis and threats to our democracy. What I’ve learned is this: Democracy is a fragile, imperfect project. It works when people with different backgrounds, ideas, and values can come together to agree on a vision for the future. But this spirit of democracy is under a brutal assault. Rule of law. Constitutionally protected rights. Dissent and freedom. The best chance we have to protect these rights is at the ballot box. As citizens, it’s the test of our lifetimes. And Jon Ossoff’s Senate race in Georgia will be one of the most important elections in the midterms. Georgia could decide the Senate majority. Jon is the GOP’s top target this year and they’ll resort to every trick in the book to try to defeat him.”
I hate to say it, but Republicans have pretty much ceded the Senate race in Georgia. Jon Ossoff’s race is not one on anyone’s radar. But Democrats love money, especially other people’s, so they’re reaching out to suckers to dip further into their wallets or, much worse, deeper into their credit card balances to enrich themselves and empower their political ambitions.
Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar, the brother-loving Congresswoman from Mogadishu, is going to win with at least 70 percent of the vote in her gerrymandered district – hell, she might even win with 80 percent, as public corruption is a resume enhancer among Democrats – yet, she’s raising more money than she has before BECAUSE of all the corruption allegations against her.
Imagine a political party that throws even more money at someone facing all manner of potential criminal charges, including financial crimes allegations, simply because of who the President happens to be at the time. There is no pause or curiosity over whether or not any of the allegations could be true; it’s just set money on fire – she has to be innocent because I don’t like the person accusing her.
The “Squad Victory Fund” sent one Saturday declaring, “‘I stand with Ilhan.’ That’s the message from every member of the Squad, loud and clear, after Trump’s Department of Homeland Security agents raided Ilhan Omar’s home. This raid is the latest chapter in Donald Trump’s revenge campaign against Ilhan, built on the same baseless lies and smears he’s been pushing for years. And with Election Day so close, he’s doing this to fuel hate, cause chaos, and intimidate his opponents. But here’s what Trump doesn’t understand about our movement: we will never let his fascist, racist attacks go unanswered. When he comes after one of us, he comes after all of us. And we answer together.”
Ever notice how it is always “Trump’s Department of” whatever, but it was never “Biden’s Department of Justice” or “Obama’s Internal Revenue Service” what there was any controversy? Weird, right?
“The Squad didn’t get to Congress because of corporate PACs or political insiders,” they continue. “They got there because everyday people, organizers, and neighbors decided to build something bigger than themselves.”
No, they got there because billionaires behind the Democrat Socialists of America cut big checks to finance mini-Reichstag burnings after years of miseducating children in Democrat- controlled areas.
Now the fruit of that poison tree is looking to seize power by packing the Supreme Court and forcing their will on those who don’t want it and the unsuspecting morons who elected them alike. And they need money to do it.
As the old saying goes, “You can’t polish a turd.” What you can do is obscure a turd – the look, the smell, etc. – but it takes money. As the last week ticks to a close, Democrats need more and more of it, and there is a lot of skin showing from the Emperor, but he’s not quite in his “new clothes” just yet.
Which will come first, Election Day or complete nakedness of who they really are? We’ll find out in just over a week (except in California, where it’ll either take a month or be something we never find out, if any race is close).
