Is Nancy Pelosi Stupid or Does She Just Know Her Supporters Are?

It’s an age-old question: Are Democrat politicians really that stupid, or do they just know their voters are? There is no wrong answer.

Joe Biden personifies this dilemma – a wildly stupid man with full-blown dementia, it’s tough to assign motive to anything dumb he does or says because it could be either of those options. He’s been dumb much longer than he’s been senile, but he is very senile. It’s impossible to know which factor is more to blame for his, say, ignoring the existence of his grandchild Hunter had with a stripper then denied the paternity of. Actually, in that case it could just be that Joe Biden is a jerk.

Other politicians, those with a sense of self and awareness of their surroundings, make it difficult to know if they’re really that dumb or they know their followers are.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a prime example. She is profoundly stupid, seemingly ignorant of history is every conceivable way, but so are her followers. Is she a leader of the dumb or an echo of them? It’s tough to say.

Only someone profoundly stupid could condemn Israel, then when pressed to explain herself run and hide behind the skirt of “I’m not the expert” on the subject. With idiotic declaration after idiotic declaration, you’d think her acolytes would begin to notice she’s about a bright as a black hole, but then if they had two brain cells to rub together they wouldn’t look to her for anything.

Then again, if any Democrat had an IQ larger than their shoe size they would never nominate, let alone elect, anyone like Eric Swalwell. Swalwell needs slip-on shoes as him tying to tie a shoelace could easily end up with him losing a limb.

While the same could be said for many Democrats – Maxine Waters, Chris Murphy, the entire “Squad” all come to mind – Nancy Pelosi was never among them. She may be the only Democrat for whom the question is easily answered: she’s a lot of things, but she’s no dummy. Evil? Sure, but not stupid.

That’s what makes her latest post-election fundraising emails so odd. It’s not that they’re dumb – if you want to con Democrats out of their money or get them to go deeper into credit card debt you have to appeal to really stupid people – it’s how stupid they’ve gotten. These emails have always included basic concepts and ideas (you wouldn’t want to confuse people), but they don’t often include something obvious or easily verifiable…until now.

Pelosi writes, “I want to pull back the curtain and explain why I need your $15 before tonight's End of Month Deadline.” Considering she’s worth between $200 and $300 million, she does owe people making $30,000 per year an explanation as to why needs their money rather than using some of her own, right? Well, to say it’s a weak explanation is an understatement. She continues, “1) Democrats have a historic shot to EXPAND our Senate Majority with a win in the Georgia runoff. 2) In an EMBARRASSING turn of events for House Republicans, their majority will be one of the slimmest in modern history.”

That last bit struck me as particularly stupid. Why? Well, because the Republican majority in the next Congress is going to be, at a minimum, the exact same as it currently is for Democrats under Pelosi. Republicans will have at least 220 Members (possibly more, if some states ever learn to count votes) and Democrats currently have 220 Members. If what Republicans will have next year is “EMBARRASSING” (Pelosi’s caps lock, not mine), what is it when Democrats have that many?

The fact is having a slim majority didn’t stop Democrats from ramming whatever they wanted through the House. Republicans won’t be able to do that because they aren’t a hive that unquestioningly does what they’re told, but on the issues they agree on there’s no reason to not ram it through. Democrats’ cries should serve as nourishment, not deterrence.

Since Democrats control the Senate and White House, nothing the House passes will become law, but Pelosi treating her base like they’re idiotic little kids who can be tricked into giving through stupid means is…well, actually probably pretty accurate. They really are that gullible. The lies Democrat leaders need to tell their drones are the raw hamburger surrounding the pill a dog has to take. That the dog then opens up its wallet and gives them money is a testament to just how stupid some of God’s creatures are.
