Liberals Try To Ruin The Declaration Of Independence

There isn’t much of anything that liberals don’t try to ruin. If it’s good, if normal people like it, some leftist will declare it to be some kind of “ist” or “phobe” and try to cancel it. This reality is about as regular as the tide, and the latest wave of stupid from the left is attempting to crush the National Archives, home to the Declaration of Independence and United States Constitution.

If you live or work in Washington, DC, you have your favorite spots; the places and things you never tire of. For me, one such thing is the US Capitol. When you’re downtown, or in some random neighborhood, riding in a cab or walking to a Metro station, at some point you will be overtaken by the glowing dome of the Capitol down the street in the distance. If gives me chills sometimes, and always causes me awe, and I’ve been here twenty years now. (My God, has it really been 20 years? Yes, it has.) That building, its history, and what it represents still gets to me, and if it ever stops “getting” to me I will know it’s time to leave; I will have lost that part of me that wanted me to come here and with it the reasons I did.

While that view, from any angle, is one that still gives me a thrill, there is one place, more than any other, I truly enjoy being – the National Archives.

The rotunda of the National Archives is an amazing place where the founding documents of this country reside in nuclear bomb proof display cases. Surrounding the Constitution and Declaration is a revolving band of important documents from throughout our history: everything from presidential letters or addresses to the Louisiana Purchase. These are important American documents from the elected leaders who wrote them. They are the property of the United States government because they were the official documents used to conduct government business.

It’s a magical place…unless you’re an idiot leftist. Then it’s just a den of racism and white supremacy.

The National Archives, for reasons known only to the gender and ethnic studies morons who likely cooked up the idea, has a “task force on racism” because documents are racist, or something.

The task force, according to Fox News, “categorized the National Archives' Rotunda as another example of ‘structural racism’ as it ‘lauds wealthy White men in the nation's founding while marginalizing BIPOC [Black, Indigenous and other People of Color], women, and other communities.’”

Forgive me for pointing this out, but it was white men who founded this country and set forth the ideals that lead to where we are now, and are more responsible for how amazing this country is, through their thoughts and wisdom, than anyone else. If someone can’t handle that reality because of the color of their skin, and I say this with all due respect, I don’t give a damn. The fact is, this country was founded by white guys, and everything that has come since is built upon the foundation that the Founding Fathers laid down. If someone can’t handle that truth, why should anyone else care?

The report also called for “trigger warnings” so the soft-skulled “woke” loons won’t have to face that reality by surprise. They want signs to “forewarn audiences of content that may cause intense physiological and psychological symptoms.” If you can’t handle a historic reality, don’t go…anywhere. You are an idiot. If you are upset about things that didn’t happen to you and angry at people who didn’t do those things, why should anyone care about anything you have to say? No offense, but you’re an idiot. Do yourself a favor and get professional help.

The reality is this country is the greatest, freest nation the world has ever known. It is the only place on Earth where how you are born has no bearing on how you live or what your life will have become when you die – that part is all up to the individual. This country was also founded by a group composed exclusively of white men. Who cares? The job needed doing and they did it. If you can’t handle that, I don’t care. If it bothers you to the point of not being able to function, you’re free to leave the country.

I am sick of hearing leftists whine about everything, especially the founding of the country. If your appreciation of something, anything, in the annuls of human achievement is dependent upon the skin color of those who did it, you’re the racist. Each and every Founding Father is better than you are; you are what you claim to despise.

Moreover, I couldn’t give a damn what you want or how you feel. The beauty of what those men did 245 years ago is they liberated me from having to care, and that was only a side-effect. The direct impact was to create what would become the United States of America. I’m glad they did, because they not only set us all free to make what we will of our lives, they also set people free to be idiots who hate the country – thereby exposing eunuchs and dimwitted invertebrates any rational person should do everything possible to avoid.

So this Independence Day, do yourself a favor and avoid them…forever. Also, thank a Founding Father. Any one of them was significantly better than every modern leftist all rolled into one.
