You’ve got to admire Israel. When people who want to destroy their country try to enter their borders, they turn them back. Rather than do the same, the political left in this country celebrate those people. No matter where they are in the world, progressives have one objective: destroy.
People don’t volunteer to have something they love to be “fundamentally transformed,” and fundamental transformation of the country and the world is exactly what progressives ultimately want. And they’re willing to do anything to get there.
When it was announced that Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar were going to travel to Israel I remember thinking it was odd. I not only wasn’t sure why Israel would let in people who despise their citizens and want to wipe it off the map, but why would half the Gang of Four want to go there in the first place? Of course, the answer was simple – they want propaganda.
A normal person doesn’t despise Canada, hate Canadians, and plan a weekend in Toronto. Tlaib and Omar wanted to stir problems in Israel and stand on Israeli soil while doing it. It took until the last minute, likely due to the fact that they’re both sitting Members of Congress, but Israel finally rescinded their permission to enter.
Since Tlaib and Omar have the arrogance that comes with knowing the media will protect them and the shamelessness that accompanies living in a bubble where disagreement is rare and ignored, their next step was easy. The racist duo immediately played the victims.
Statements were released that read like they were at the ready, in the hope they could be victims. Omar came out against U.S. aid because Israel wouldn’t allow her in to inspire more terrorists. Tlaib whined about not being able to visit her elderly grandmother.
Israel relented to Tlaib on humanitarian grounds. She could visit her grandmother after promising not to attack the country while in it.
That should have been the end of it, but neither of them wanted go there to see anything for themselves or visit family, they wanted propaganda; they wanted the accolades from the American left that would accompany advocating for the destruction of Israel from within its borders. So Tlaib, after saying she only wanted to pick figs with her grandmother for likely that last time, changed her mind and rejected Israel’s magnanimity.
These two wanted specific things from this trip, and if they weren’t going to be able to get it, no “last chance to visit grandma” in the world was going to make it worth their while.
Journalists were, predictably, outraged. They’d just spent 24 hours lying about Ken Cuccinelli, the acting director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, for enforcing existing law that requires people applying for permanent residency status not have a history of bilking taxpayers through the bloated welfare state. The idea of not wanting to import people who won’t contribute to society was, naturally, called racist.
Tlaib, after being granted a humanitarian pass to visit her grandmother, rejected it saying, “When I won, it gave the Palestinian people hope that someone will finally speak the truth about the inhumane conditions. I can't allow the State of Israel to take away that light by humiliating me & use my love for my sity (grandmother) to bow down to their oppressive & racist policies.” She never wanted to see her grandmother, she wanted to use her. That she able to do just that without having to see her was more than good enough. (And probably lucky for her grandma – could you imagine being used as a prop by your own grandchild?)
These people aren’t honest, but they are serious. When your opponent is willing to do absolutely anything to advance their agenda, you have to take them seriously. Never underestimate anyone who is unbound by reality or standards of decency. That’s not only Tlaib and Omar, but every Democrat and nearly the entire media.
If Democrats truly had a strong case to make to the American people for what they want to do they wouldn’t have to lie about Republicans, they’d just make it. That they aren’t tells you all you need to know.
Israel has every right to keep out guttersnipes who seek their destruction. Unfortunately, in the United States they’re inside the gates and Democrats elect them to Congress. Or they give them jobs as journalists.
