Making America Good Again

In 2016, President Donald Trump's campaign slogan was, Make America Great Again.

What a wonderful thought.

What a wonderful thought that we could return to the American dream of a single income being sufficient to raise a family.

What a wonderful thought that we could return to the relatively crime free existence of Mayberry, where Barney Fife only carried one bullet, in his pocket.

What a wonderful thought that America could once again lead the world as a bastion for Christian thought and Global evangelism, instead of a country in need of being evangelized.

What a wonderful thought that we would stop killing the unborn.

What a wonderful thought that we would stop normalizing sexual perversion.

What a wonderful thought that we would stop allowing the worshippers of false gods to infiltrate every fiber of our society from the school board to Washington D.C.

What a wonderful thought that we would, as a nation, turn our hearts back to pleasing our Creator.

Revival is what we need to make Americans good again and good, Godly, righteous Americans will make America great again.

All great awakenings throughout history have started with individual humility and contrition. The preacher who is credited with the start of the great azusa street revivals is said to have started each service praying with his head stuck inside a bucket so as to both separate himself from the noise of the crowd but also to humble himself and hear God's voice before he began to speak.

As I prepared this piece I began with my head in such a bucket, figuratively, waiting for God to lead me, knowing that America needs a great awakening and praying that somehow my humble message be used by Him to that end.

Recognizing our own sin and preaching repentance and holiness is the only way to right America's sinking ship.

In America today, everyone does what seems right in their own eyes and refuses to be told differently. Lately, resisting violently and with increasing frequency.

While all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, the perverted leftists in America have tried to make repentance obsolete. They have twisted Holy Writ to their own agenda and begun to supplant God with their own state-sanctioned church called Big Government.

In Orwellian fashion they have slowly altered what we thought we knew.

One of the most misused Scriptures by the progressive, leftist heretics is in Matthew Chapter 7:

“Judge not, that you be not judged.

"For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye?  You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."

To the liberal progressive Democrat "Judge not lest ye be judged" means, "You don't get to point out my sin," or even worse, "You don't have the right to say what is or is not sin."

Scripture is our guide as to what is and is not sin and the laws of our nation as enumerated by our Founders used those scriptures and others writings to establish a Judicial System based on Natural Law.

"Don't judge me" is an improper division of the Word of Truth and Natural Law.

"Don't judge me" is a satanic deception almost as clever as Satan convincing the world that he doesn't even exist.

The whole of Matthew Chapter 7 more accurately says: "If you dish it out you better be ready to take it," and "Deal with your own issues first, then you will be able to help others with theirs."

The assertion that Christians aren't supposed to use Scripture to define sin, name it, call it out, and preach that those sins need to be repented for and cut out of our lives, like a cancer, is heresy.

Scripture is clear in regard to "Knowing people by their fruits," --"Marking those that cause division,"-- "Rightly dividing truth," and being "Righteous judges of matters both within and without the church."

There is an entire book in the Old Testament entitled "Judges," yet those who would be left alone to allow their personal sin to become a national epidemic, putting our very nation in peril, don't want us to mention transgression against God at all.

In fact, God's Word says that we will judge angels. How much more the matters of this life?

Our Creator has placed godly pastors, judges, and yes, even some politicians, among us that we may one day have hope of making America great again.

Judge Roy Moore recently won a runoff election in Alabama, defeating the establishment GOP candidate Luther Strange for the Republican nomination for the US Senate.

Moore is known as the "10 Commandments Judge," and the "Pistol packing judge," by Bible-hating, Constitution-hating progressives. He is a Godly man and a principled Constitutionalist.

There are many more Moores out there waiting to be inserted back into the governmental structure as we try to make America great again.

Recently he said: "Before we can make America great again, we have to make America good again."

Friends, making America good again starts with you and me, face down on the floor, humbled before God with our heads in proverbial buckets, begging God's forgiveness.

It continues by studying, praying, reading and learning to rightly divide the Word of Truth and then taking that Truth, in love and compassion, with boldness, to those that are perishing.

How else will they hear?

Wouldn't it be wonderful to see another great awakening in America?

Wouldn't it be wonderful to see revival break forth across this land of ours once again, making it great, from sea to shining sea, by making God great again in the hearts of Americans?
