News Avoidance Syndrome – VARIOUS OUTLETS
Biden ducks out of the annual Super Bowl interview, and the press can only spin for the White House.
The White House announced last year that the president would not sit with Fox News for the traditional Super Bowl interview. The press had no lack of commentary then, declaring it an understandable move considering how that network is so antagonistic toward Biden and the Democrats. (He consented to speak with those from the side venture Fox Soul.) This weekend came the announcement that Biden would again duck the annual sit-down, this time with a more compliant CBS News, and this time, the media members were stuck for an explanation.
So, they gave none. The one exception was CNN, which was perfectly content to run with the desperate explanation from the administration:
Biden advisers tell CNN they see skipping the interview as a strategic decision to give Americans a break from the politics of the 2024 campaign. Advisers say they’re seeing people already expressing fatigue with election news and want to avoid piling on.
Yes, despite trailing in the polls and desperately needing positive exposure, Biden will forgo speaking with a sympathetic CBS because he wants to spare us more political exposure. This has NOTHING to do with his continuing mental slide and perpetual embarrassing behavior.

Stealth Story Evolution – MEDIA MATTERS
The experts on media machinations, ladies & gentlemen!
In seeing the announcement that President Biden was ducking the Super Bowl, the President of Media Matters for America, Anthony Carusone, was boldly and sternly in support of the decision. Calling the news outlet a "propaganda operation," he firmly backed the decision.
Then, the president of this hyper-partisan outfit that cloaks itself as the expert resource on all matters involving the press had to delete his post once it was pointed out that his expert analysis missed out on the fact that Fox was not broadcasting the game this year, and it was CBS News being shafted by Biden.

Anti-Social Media – THE ATLANTIC
Tell us again how it is the conservatives who are acting unhinged over the Super Bowl…
Let's refresh to the past week when the media was falling over themselves to accuse right-wing media and other figures on the right of imbalanced thinking regarding Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce and music artist Taylor Swift. Taking a critical position on the couple has you painted as unhinged, but CNN gushing over the fact that airlines have flight numbers to the game matching her album is just fine, or The New York Times doing a deep study on Kelce's haircut is considered normal behavior.
Then there is Jemele Hill, who sees this type of fawning coverage and takes it further, deciding to be outraged by what she witnesses. The Times never said Kelce "invented" the haircut, but facts have never been an adequate deterrent in stopping grievance culture.
The NYT thinks that Travis Kelce invented the fade 🤦🏾♀️ When you have zero cultural competency on your staff, this is how you end up with stories like this, and explaining swag surfin,’ which is at least 15 or years old. pic.twitter.com/EgqZ1vJmBN

DNC PR Firm – NBC NEWS
We swear it is as if Chuck Todd never left.
It is rather amusing to watch when, after years of the press telling us there is zero crisis at our southern border, NOW there is a crisis, but the Republicans will not pass a new border bill so Joe Biden can secure the border that the White House tells us is not wide open.
On "Meet The Press," Kristen Welker had House Speaker Mike Johnson on the show to discuss this issue, and the Speaker had to absorb some rather accusatory pro-Biden questioning from the hostess. Welker was very pointed in challenging Johnson in his refusal to entertain the Senate bill as she accuses him of doing little:
You have been calling for legislative change to actually deal with this problem. You are now the Speaker of the House. Do you not have a responsibility to your voters, to the people who put you in office, to address what you have called a crisis and catastrophe? Isn't something better than nothing?
Welker was then put off balance as Johnson calmly explained that the House passed a border bill nine months ago, and the Senate has done nothing with it. Then she said his bill would go nowhere in the Senate, as the Senate was not blamed for refusing to consider the House legislation. Then, as she commanded he was supposed to compromise with the Senate, he had to inform her that that body had yet to involve him in negotiations.

Demo-lition Project – CNN
We have lost count over the life of this column how many times CNN has revamped its morning show, but it's at it again. Newly arrived CEO Mark Thompson announced today that the network will be changing its early lineup. "CNN This Morning" is removed and Kasie Hunt's daybreak show will be expanded an hour…and will now be called "CNN This Morning." Oh…kay then. The late morning show "CNN News Central" will be slid back to follow Hunt, and then Pamela Brown will take on the 10 am ET time slot, and Jim Acosta will repel viewers in the 11 am hour. There – the deck chairs on the foundering vessel are now in a new configuration!
Another relic from the brief but tumultuous Chris Licht era at CNN has been canceled.https://t.co/VOVbdWtvMm

Blue-Anon – DAILY WIRE
Will she also suggest that doing research is a plot forwarded by the Trilateral Commission?
This one is rather straightforward, and it illustrates how allowing your animosity to get the better of your common sense is a path to ridicule. On her show, Candace Owens displayed some of her wariness with the entertainment complex, but even if you had a concept enter your mind such as this, would it not feel like something you should possibly establish before coming out and making a declaration about your inkling?
No matter how tempting it might be to suggest the CIA concocted the Hollywood system to control our culture, it would have required about 15 seconds of research to find that the studios had been cranking out movies for decades prior to the formation of that intelligence organization.
