Legalized Press-titution – AXIOS

  • Was this written for all of the new arrivals coming across the border, maybe?

We have some developing news from the political world about the election approaching this fall. According to Axios, Liz Cheney, the woman who has pledged for years to do what she can to prevent Donald Trump from becoming elected, has declared that now she will do nothing at all to assist Trump in his campaign efforts.

We will continue to monitor this BREAKING news event.

Stealth Story Evolution – ASSOCIATED PRESS

The Associated Press had it in mind to tear down Christofer Rufo over a comment he made on Xitter that was offensive. They just need to work out the details about what makes it offensive, but that will take place. Be assured!

Rufo mentioned the resignation of Claudine Gay and used the commonly seen expression "scalped" to metaphorically declare victory. So the AP stepped up to declare this was an intolerant and possibly violent display; the problem is, it struggles to explain how this is the case. The news syndicate initially described the act of scalping this way:

A gruesome practice taken up by white colonists who sought to eradicate Native Americans.

We're sorry – "white colonists" engaged in this activity?! After it was slammed with historical facts, the stealth editing came into practice. Meanwhile, actual reporting on what Claudine Gay has been found to have done gets overlooked – again.

Blue-Anon – DAILY BEAST

  • Is there such a thing as a preemptive "I told you so"?

Speaking of the Claudine Gay issue (since everyone is right now), Wajahat Ali unsurprisingly had things to say about the matter. He was also pedantic and pointless with his stance. Also, unsurprisingly.

Wajahat declares that in the coming weeks, right-wing educators are going to be caught having plagiarized. They are also going to be ignored by the same people upset at Gay's falsehoods. He has all of this declared like it is a victory…regarding things that have not taken place.

Additionally, are there really right-wing educators in the university system? They seem even more rare than Republicans on the staffs of newsrooms.

Anti-Social Media – NEW REPUBLIC

  • Getting this bothered over people you do not like doing something that has no effect on you should be seen as a sign you need help.

Consider in your life when there are media figures or others you have no regard for. How do you behave in reference to those figures? For most of us, that is a scenario where we avoid them and do not bother with their activities. But then, clearly, that means you are not a journalist.

Alex Shephard looks into the practice of what people he has little regard for are doing with their time, namely listening to podcasts. Clearly, he has no time for conservatives, and especially Republicans, so he spends lengthy amounts of time ruminating over their listening habits.

He seems bothered that conservatives have a new conduit to hear the political voices they favor, but most precious is his pretending that liberals do not do the exact same thing and that Democrats don't put out the exact same types of podcasts.

It's only problematic and unseemly when the other side does it.

DNC PR Firm - ASSOCIATED PRESS

The state of Minnesota is in the process of finalizing the new design for a state flag and state seal. Apparently, the old seal depicted what some felt – including the AP – was a racist tableau of a displaced Native American, so changes were called for. The amusement here is that in detailing the mundane design process, any mention of Republicans or conservatives is in a negatively dismissive light:

  • Some criticism circulated by conservatives has been inaccurate.

  • The state Democratic Party chairman issued a news release taking one GOP lawmaker to task for fueling the spread of the misinformation on social media.

  • Two Republican lawmakers who were nonvoting members of the commission objected to putting the Dakota name for Minnesota on the seal.
