Reporting on the Mirror – WHITE HOUSE
The announcement went out that the Biden administration is shelling out $5 million for a program to help journalists who have been…picked on while on social media. Recall these are the people who like to dress themselves up as "firefighters."
This new program, dubbed Expert Voices Together, will pay out the funds to George Washington University and promises all manner of support for aggrieved journalists facing criticism online. Get a load of this poli-speak blather:
ADDRESSING ONLINE ABUSE AND HARASSMENT - MISINFORMATION-DRIVEN HARASSMENT CAMPAIGNS HAVE PARTICULARLY LARGE IMPACTS ON THOSE AT THE FOREFRONT OF EFFORTS TO ACCURATELY INFORM THE PUBLIC, INCLUDING JOURNALISTS - A SOCIO-TECHNICAL SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES REAL-TIME SUPPORT TO EXPERTS EXPERIENCING ONLINE HARASSMENT. THE PROJECT WILL INITIALLY FOCUS ON SUPPORTING JOURNALISTS, - AIMS TO SUPPORT EXPERTS IN MOMENTS OF CRISIS, WHILE ALSO BUILDING INDIVIDUAL, ORGANIZATIONAL, AND SOCIETAL CAPACITY TO PREVENT AND MITIGATE HARMS FROM ONLINE ABUSE AND HARASSMENT IN THE LONG TERM
The Biden administration has given approval for a $5 million grant to be awarded to the Expert Voices Together program at George Washington University. The program aims to assist journalists who have been targeted by "misinformation-driven harassment #https://t.co/mQH4e7i8uk

- Did he…did he forget who he is, exactly…?!?!
There are certain people who need to avoid certain topics in certain situations. With that in mind, we give you – Howard Stern lecturing about decency in this country.
The Lauren Boebert groping story continues to titillate the media, and now the nation's most audacious shock-jock DJ, who has made a career out of being sexually inappropriate, is condemning Boebert getting tossed out of a stage production for tossing her date's salad:
Boebert is a disgrace to this country. She's in a titty dress, obviously vaping, but also it looks like she's grabbing his penis during Beetlejuice. I've seen p*rnstars wear more.
I'm sorry, but I would sooner take a lecture on abstinence from Stormy Daniels before taking any of Stern's judgment on this matter seriously.

Anti-Social Media – MSNBC
- Is there any irony that the man requiring a transcription service speaks so that we need an interpreter?!
One big news item has been Chuck Schumer repealing the Senate dress code to appease John Fetterman and his predilection for dressing like the diversity hire at a muffler shop. (Side note: The new low standard is only for senators. The non-elites are still expected to dress appropriately like adults.)
Fetterman took a break from lashing out at others on Xitter (though it is probably his wife sending out those caustic posts) to appear with Chris Hayes, and as he tried sounding bold and powerful, his delivery and wording were…not.
Fetterman: "The House, the whatever they call themselves Team America or whatever they call themselves, bring your vote otherwise they need to go hump a different leg." pic.twitter.com/Hh6DGO8mfi

First Amendment Strike Force – GOOGLE
At our partner site, RedState, there was a red flag notice delivered by the overlords at Google that a recent item published did not meet their standards. The notification was over "Dangerous and derogatory content," which sounds very serious and severe. Then you come to realize that what they were barking about was essentially transcripted content from the court case in California regarding the legislation concerning teachers and the right of parents to be told if their child identifies as a different gender.
It would appear that the wizards at Google approve of hiding such details from parents and that reporting on these particulars from the court records saying otherwise is offensive.
…Annnnnnnnnnd, now my column will be flagged by these same squishes at Google…
You think I'm exaggerating? I'm not.

Demo-lition Project – HOLLYWOOD
- Oh, right – those people aren't working or something, right…?
There has been an update on the issue that is of little concern to anyone living East of Rancho Cucamonga; there has been a development in the Hollywood writer's strike! That is to say, the announcement has gone out that tomorrow, the representatives of the WGA and the studio system will sit down and talk. If the two sides come together and manage to end this four-month-long slog, it means change will be sweeping across – oh, who are we kidding?! It won't mean anything significant.
The Writers Guild of America is expected to resume talks with Hollywood studios on Wednesday, more than four months after writers went on strike after failed contract negotiations, the union says. https://t.co/cjARZk5fxh

DNC PR Firm – CBS NEWS
- Okay, so this is NOT an attack on the saintly individuals, is that correct?
We need to come clean on a matter and admit we were incorrect about a news item. Yesterday, in this space, we declared the collective press was not covering the announced lawsuit filed by Hunter Biden, where he is suing preferred entities such as the IRS and the whistleblowers.
Well, CBS News managed to prove us incorrect and covered his lawsuit. Of course, as Norah O'Donnell detailed things, they were rather enthusiastic in their support of Hunter and his quest:
Tonight Hunter Biden's legal team is going on the offensive, filing a lawsuit against the IRS for the alleged unlawful release of his private tax details.
It brings us a measure of shame that we did not see this cheerleading coming down the pike. We apologize.
The complaint claims agency employees "repeatedly and intentionally" disclosed Biden's protected tax information. https://t.co/FvPctak9LN
