Pulitzer Prize Nomination – CNN
CNN has a scathing exposé from the streets of Nashville: Kid Rock might have been full of it!
When the Bud Light controversy erupted in April, one of the first publicized reactions was of Mr. Rock declaring he would boycott the brand by opening fire on a couple of cases of the beer. Field reporter Ryan Young has a man-on-the-street, and in-the-bars piece, spoke to customers and proprietors to get the lowdown on the boycott. At one point, he enters the honky tonk owned by Kid Rock to discover – they serve Bud Light! Scathing news!
(Watch for the contradiction where one hooch slinger says the boycott "Is unlike anything I've ever seen," but later in the segment, this same pub lord declares that he has only seen one person make hay about the brand. Wut?)

Low Octane Gas Lighting – MSNBC
- Speaking about those who do not believe what they are saying…
Nicolle Wallace sinks to new levels of desperation with her spin machine known as "Deadline: White House." In her latest embarrassment, Nicky tries to deflect from the news of Attorney General Merrick Garland issuing an arrest warrant for the whistleblower of the Hunter Biden Chinese payoffs escapades, Gal Luft.
Just after Luft released a video detailing many of the legal problems involving Joe, Hunter Biden, and the Chinese outfit CEFC Chinese Energy, he was indicted on multiple charges, including violating FARA regulations for not registering as a foreign agent.
Of Significance: Hunter and James Biden were also connected to CEFC, and neither registered under FARA. This becomes a thorny paradox for Garland, who seems to have targeted Luft as a reprisal.
Wallace tries to dismiss in such a laughable fashion that the natural question to ask of her, while pretending there is no story behind this subterfuge, is just how much Cardbordeaux wine is she ingesting before going on air?
Ummm...Nicolle Wallace: "I'm going to go out on a limb here...I don't think any Republican ingesting truth serum actually believes that there's been any political interference by Merrick Garland or his deputies in the Hunter Biden cases." pic.twitter.com/8sCX9EZU7w

First Amendment Strike Force – FACEBOOK
This one comes courtesy of a tip from stalwart journalism veteran Andrew Malcolm.
Not unlike many police departments and other state-affiliated agencies operating social media accounts, the Department of Transportation for the state of Wyoming has a Facebook page. Also reflecting a common practice is that the WYDOT will sometimes provide lighter fare on its timeline, engaging with citizens and offering up somewhat humorous posts to develop interest and generate followers. In one recent post, the page offered up a caution for campers, of sorts:
Bigfoot Warning! Attention Campers – Due to the increased flow of the Kern River, the Bigfoots are coming down from the high country to feed on fish and vegetation at the river’s edge.
The post goes on to issue tips on what to do if you encounter one. That is to say, it went on with those details – because Facebook ended up blocking the content due to fact-checkers stepping in. Apparently, they verified that this was false information due to the fact that everyone knows there is no such thing as Bigfoots…making their need to fact-check this for the benefit of those who know all the more inane.
“We were just having fun with our readers, the people who follow us,” Cody Beers told Cowboy State Daily. “And it went viral.” But then it ended and Beers was sent to Facebook jail. https://t.co/nfxeL2ZP0I

DNC PR Firm – MSNBC
- Annnnnnnd once again, we get the media members upset that Joe Biden is reported on accurately in the press.
On "Morning Joe," Mika Brzezinski was mad and upset. The recent displays of images of President Jose Biden fumbling his way through Europe at the NATO Summit have her extremely bothered.
It is not that our president appears feeble and impacted, looking lost and mumbling through incoherent dialogues that has Mrs. Scar-Joe so upset. No, she is perturbed that the White House staff allowed these accurate portrayals of his condition to get out to the public.
MSNBC’s @morningmika to Biden’s staff: “Do a better job b/c you can’t have these video images of the president tripping or the president like going to wrong way … b/c his age is going to be factor … It makes me mad.” pic.twitter.com/DDsLitF8vA

Low Octane Gas Lighting – NBC NEWS
- Hey, now, Ben Collins is a Cronkite Award winner – where does this column get off criticizing him?!
When you have Ben Collins appearing on "The Reid Out," you had to know things would go awry in a monumental fashion. In speaking to the hostess Reid about the Twitter Files, Collins tries to insist that the long series of documents do not in any way prove censorship. Of course, to say this, he needs to ignore the recent court decision where the Biden administration was commanded to no longer contact social media platforms to silence accounts.
NBC's Ben @oneunderscore__ Collins claims the Twitter Files didn't prove censorship! They're just unpopular, bro! "It turns out that maybe their opinions are just not something that people want to listen to. It's not censorship, it’s just – the way it is." pic.twitter.com/QJ3BJtrCTE
— Tim Graham (@TimJGraham) July 11, 2023
Instead, his farcical claim is it was all about information that people did not want to see in the first place. Uh…huh. So the concept that the government was the body declaring that this was information people did not want to see and, therefore, took it down is what Ben is attempting to sell here.
Maybe we should call it a dose of poor timing that, at almost the same time, Matt Taibbi came out with a fresh batch of Twitter Files, this time showing, specifically, how the FBI was contacting Twitter and directing the portal on what accounts it was upset with and needed to be suspended.
