The midterm elections are just over three weeks away, and the stakes have never been higher. Brett Kavanaugh is now a Supreme Court Judge, but his journey to confirmation was laced with hateful comments from the left, unsubstantiated claims of sexual abuse, and extremist attacks in hallways, restaurants, parking lots, and anywhere Republican senators could be found.

Recently, surveys had Democrats far more motivated to vote, but that margin has all but disappeared. Brett Kavanaugh’s ordeal is seared into the memory of GOP faithfuls and has united and motivated them to vote. The thought of giving control of the House and the Senate to the Democrats ensures more nightmares similar to what was unleashed against Judge Kavanaugh.

Now, thanks to President Trump, they have a solid majority of justices committed to putting the Constitution first. Democrats have threatened to impeach Trump, Kavanaugh, anyone in their way. Resist! Impeach! Shout them down! Drive them off our campuses! To them it is war!

As much as such tactics disturb responsible Americans, freedom of speech is too important to silence. Let the radical left shout at candidates, try to kick conservative speakers off of campuses, and verbally attack candidates and their families at restaurants. All it does is cement in the minds of Republicans and responsible independents that America cannot afford to have Democrats back in control in Washington.

Democrats are screaming about the illegitimacy of the Kavanaugh confirmation to drive their base to the polls. Republican ads will use the Dems' outrageous comments throughout the confirmation process to do the same. Neither has a majority. The real power lies with the independents and their view of the confirmation hearings, the accomplishments of the Trump administration, and, yes, President Trump’s confrontational tweets.

Will they side with a woman’s emotional but unsubstantiated allegation or the long-standing principle of the presumption of innocence? Those proved guilty of abuse or unfounded allegations should be held responsible. Those who are victims of abuse and of false accusations deserve our prayers and support. All should be treated fairly until proved guilty.

Equally important, will Democrats have the same zeal for holding their own accountable? Rep. Keith Ellison has been accused of abuse by recent former girlfriend, Karen Monahan. A notation by her therapist confirms that she reported the allegations during therapy and identified Ellison. She says she has a video of his abuse that’s so degrading she doesn’t want it released. Will Democrats call for a full investigation of Rep. Ellison? There is no place for selective outrage when it comes to taking abuse seriously.

Besides resisting, attacking, and impeaching, what are Democrats actually for? Demand clarity before you vote! The GOP under President’s Trump’s leadership has turned his promises into progress. We have 3.7% unemployment—the lowest since 1969. Economic growth is setting records with reduced regulations, a new and improved economic agreement with Mexico and Canada, and lower taxes at all levels for those who pay taxes. The black and Hispanic American jobless rates are setting records. Manufacturing confidence is at an all-time high despite workforce shortages.

Normally, the party in power loses seats, but this is no normal year. The party in power is now motivated, angry, and eager to take back more seats for the GOP. Which party will independents support—obstruction or more opportunity?

This is the most important midterm election in decades impacting the direction of our country for years to come. Take a stand against the outrage machine that the Democrats have unleashed. Don’t reward such aggressive tactics. Vote to continue the progress President Trump and the Republicans have only just started to produce. Stop the blue wave in its tracks! In this midterm election, it’s time for voters to surprise the world again by giving President Trump the support he needs and has earned.
