Great Video
This is my first time ever visiting Townhall.com or watching the Washington Beat. I am an intern for the Daily Caller, a developing news website and this is some of the best video I've seen (I've seen a lot since video aggregation has been a large part of my responsibility here). The First Crusade
The First Crusade was a military expedition by European Christians to regain the Holy Lands taken by the Muslim conquest of the Levant, which resulted in the capture of Jerusalem in 1099. It was launched in 1095 by Pope Urban II with the primary goal of responding to the appeal from Byzantine Emperor Alexius I. The Emperor requested that western volunteers come to their aid and repel the invading Seljuk Turks from Anatolia, modern day Turkey. An additional goal soon became the principal objective—the Christian reconquest of the sacred city of Jerusalem and the Holy Land and the freeing of the Eastern Christians from Islamic rule.

Of course to "will" and other Libs self defense by Christians is a sin.

What's Helpful, What's Not
Jillian- I am for repealing DOMA and Don't Ask Don't Tell. And I LOVE your report on the Gay Pride March. Love it. It's funny and awesome and shows the ridiculousness that takes away from the real issues. Some people are just silly. I appreciate that you showed your respect to people who seriously want social change, and honed in on people exploiting this important movement for their own exhibitionism.

Hate?
The most hateful comments I see are usually from liberals bashing Christians. Christians generally say "love the sinner hate the sin". As to the specific comments about the supposed atrocities committed by "Christians", there are several flaws in that argument. 1) It is fallacious tu quoque reasoning. 2) The Crusades, The Inquisition, and child molesting are not the logical outworking of the Gospel. Christ forbids these things. You cannot attack a belief system because some claiming to be adherents do things that are contrary to that system. 3) Just because someone has a position of authority in the Catholic Church does not mean that they have actually been born again again and become a Christian. You certainly cannot attack a belief system for acts committed by people who do not accept that belief.
