I was on the Live Desk this afternoon with Martha MacCallum, talking about the Scott McClellan story. 



A few thoughts:  In noting that Bush has brought on too many squishy Texas loyalists who turned on him, I reference Matthew Dowd and Mark McKinnon. These two were notable because, like McKinnon, they are moderate Republicans ... at best (I would actually say liberals).  It should be noted that McKinnon did not turn on Bush.  However, he did resign from the McCain campaign because he isn't willing to oppose Barack Obama.

But McClellan wasn't just squishy, he was also incompetent. In this case, he would fit into the Alberto Gonzales category, as well...
