Hillary Clinton held nothing back in her criticism of President Trump’s speech before the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday, calling it “very dark, dangerous” and “not the kind of message that the leader of the greatest nation in the world should be delivering.”
But on Twitter Wednesday morning, Trump pointed out that Clinton shares the blame for helping North Korea reach the point in the weapons program that they have.

Later, he followed up on the issue by retweeting another account that was also critical of the former secretary of state’s comments.
“It is the height of hypocrisy. Obama and Clinton in effect gave nuclear weapons to North Korea by their policy of appeasement,” the message said.

Clinton told CBS’s “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert that Trump should’ve push a resolution by way of diplomacy.
"When you face dangerous situations like what is happening in North Korea, to make it clear, your first approach should always be diplomatic," the failed presidential candidate said.
Clinton argued that Trump should have said “something along the lines of, you know, we view this as dangerous to our allies, to the region, and even to our country. We call on all nations to work with us to try to end the threat posed by Kim Jong Un. And not call him 'Rocket Man,' the old Elton John song, but to say, clearly, we will not tolerate any attacks on our friends or ourselves.”
She added, “You should lead with diplomacy, you should lead with the commitment of trying to avoid conflict however you can.”
If North Korea forces the U.S. to defend itself or its allies, Trump threatened to “totally destroy” the country and warned dictator Kim Jong Un that he’s on a “suicide mission for himself and his regime.”
