Flashback: When Trump Refused to Support The Eventual GOP Nominee

On Thursday presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will meet with House Speaker Paul Ryan, House Leadership, Senate Leadership and RNC Chairman Reince Priebus in Washington D.C.

Tensions around the meetings are high as conservatives figure out how to proceed. Speaker Ryan touched off a firestorm of criticism from Trump and his supporters last week after saying he isn't ready to support his campaign for the White House. For more than a week, Trump surrogates have been pounding the airwaves demanding Republicans get in line behind him.

But it wasn't so long ago that Trump, not his fellow Republicans, was refusing to pledge support to a potential GOP nominee. Remember this from the first GOP debate?

Conservative Republicans skeptical of Trump and his progressive record are simply holding him accountable to his own standard as they take their time with any support or endorsement, even if he is the GOP nominee and only alternative to Hillary Clinton.
