24 Hours After the Dallas Shooting, Twitter Creates Black Power Symbol

Just after the deadly anti-police violence in Dallas on Thursday, Twitter has rewarded the Black Lives Matter movement with their own custom emoji.  The hashtag #blacklivesmatter cannot be typed without the emoji automatically appearing on the screen.

Twitter decided not to devote any symbol or emoji to pro-police hashtags.
