Joy Behar Doesn't Plan on Leaving the House Until Trump Is 'Out of Office'

"The View" host Joy Behar seemingly joked how she plans on staying in her house until President Trump is voted out of office this year in November, despite him not officially leaving office until January the following year if he were to lose.

Host Whoopi Goldberg pointed to how many people are not as eager to leave the house during the ongoing Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. A number of states are beginning to reopen some areas of business in a limited capacity to stem the resulting economic downturn.

"And, you know, I think this is going to go on because as of this weekend, there’s going to be probably seven states that are not in some stage of reopening, but a lot of people don’t seem to be ready to step outside yet according to a survey. Forty percent say they plan to avoid public spaces as much as possible until long after everything is over, but I don’t think you could actually do it like that," Goldberg said. "Joy, how long are you prepared to stay put?”

“I’m prepared. I think I’m going to have to stay put at least until November, when Trump is out of office, because he is not — he’s not putting the tests out there," Behar replied.

"Yesterday — you want to hear something? Yesterday he said — let me read it. 'By doing all this testing, we make ourselves look bad.' The reason we’re not getting all these testings, apparently, is because the numbers go up when you test people, and that makes him look bad. So this is the problem, and until everybody gets tested, or certainly people that I’m going to be visiting or places that I’m going to go to, I am not leaving this house," she added.
