What a clown this guy is. Go ahead, sport. There are lots of opportunities to show your bonehead solidarity with the union scum. Go hang out with WI Dems in Rockford, IL, or with IN Dems in Urbana, IL. Go sleep in the Capitol Building in Madison with the dopey UW socialists.
Put your money where your stupid mouth is.

Sorry if that goes over your head. I will try to dumb it down to progressive speak for you.
It means the Dems priority is for the 12%, not the other portion of the 88%. With the amount of money they get bought by from unions, its pretty obvious.

Earth to Hengler: Unions are a key part of the Democratic party's base. They have been since, oh, forever. You may not like them, and you may not like the Democrats, but why do you always act so outraged when see the Democrats favoring the unions? Liberals don't go berserk when Republicans attend corporate banquets.

By "base" you mean millions of dollars in return for .... (fill in the blank).
They only represent 12% of workers nationally. Where does a portion of the other 88% find itself in that base? By key you must mean they take precedence over other people?
These entities have become corporate machines. The only difference is they have 'useful idiots' to bus all over to test Alinsky theories and add chaos to any situation... just keeping pushing though. You're hitting a tipping point .

No I realize that the Dems pretty much work for the unions not the rest of their base. Some are even trying to paint the nation purple as if they're still community organizing. Or maybe I am not 'catching on' that they are simply 'useful idiots' for a greater accomplishment? Care to advise on that?

and btw, its only about 7% of the private workforce that is unionized. The balance of that 12% comes from the public sector which is about a 1/3 of govt workers.
So basically, the average democrat is primarily representing his fellow govt worker's union, not the public at large...
Sounds a bit like collusion. No wonder it's helping to bankrupt the states that have it.

Wisconsin had a surplus just last year. Then the Republicans slashed taxes and now they have a "deficit crisis." And, of course, it's all the unions' fault.

You really think 150 million in tax incentives can make up for a 3600 million projected deficit? Been asking for over 2 weeks where the other 3450 million will come from. Not one leftie can actually address reality.
Show me in history where the govt has managed to collect 25% of GDP no matter what the tax rate. You won't be able to find it. At best, there were short periods of 23% which eventually dragged the economy down and caused GDP to go down, which affected total sum collected.
So its a spending problem. The govt can only collect about 19.5% of GDP, so it should regard that at the budget. Obama seems to think 25% is the new normal.

Have I ever said otherwise? Do you assume that because conservatives reflexively defend the Republican party that liberals do likewise with the Democrats.
Most days I can't figure out which I prefer: Republicans who sup at the corporate trough and make no secret of their special treatment for the wealthy, or Democrats who sup at the corporate trough and then claim to be for the little guy.

The point, of course, being that conservatives seem to think that unions and universities are evil, corrupt places because they favor Democrats. But there are places that are centers of conservatism - corporate board rooms, the officer corps - and you don't see liberals getting their panties in a knot. This is how the world is, no use getting all we-weed up.

Progressives don't favor Democrats, they are the Democrats now. They have had years to infiltrate our education system so they can brainwash our youth into buying the deceptive progressive agenda. I would call that moral corruption, at best. The progressive agenda of income redistribution, huge despotic government and making citizens dependent on government for everything is anti-American. When has socialism and communism become so acceptable?

Take advantage of the time these Democraphead Senators are AWOL to begin disassembling every piece of current legislation designed in support of public sector unions. Since so long as it does not involve a budget number a quorum is not required. Gov. Walker should use this time to reverse all the damage years of Democraphead rule has done to Wisconsin.
How about a law which makes what these AWOL Senators are doing a felony? Not a budget item.
How about a very liberal Concealed to Carry law? Not a budget item.
How about a photo I.D. requirement for voter I.D.? Not a budget item.
