If you had the pleasure of watching Kagan's
paint dry
testimony today, you would second Franken's sentiment. Killing us with her cadence. Ahhhhh!

"Asking Kagan leading questions about whether she thinks Obama's radical position on partial birth abortions could be defended."
Why would the legislative branch question a judicial nominee about the views of the head of the executive branch when he was in a state legislature?

Rather, conservatives should be more attentive to the lack of focus republicans have displayed in asking superficial, even frivilous questions of the SCOTUS appointee.
For instance:
Asking Kagan leading questions about whether she thinks Obama's radical position on partial birth abortions could be defended---and how she would do so. The point would be to hear directly from her the logic and course she would follow in defending such a position.
Another example would be her review or arguing of the Lawrence v. Texas by the SCOTUS.
In that decision reviews were recorded that the striking down of sodomy would not affect marriage or relationships. Scalia argued that, in fact, this decision would have direct impact on...

"Why can you not demand the same of Vlad when he calls others child pornographers and such without validation?"
Don't listen to this fool. Don't even get close to him - Lord knows what diseases he carries.
Town Hall had a story about a billboard in Times Square for Calvin Klein underwear. When I said I didn't think it was a big deal, Arch said, "How about if I fist your daughter while she suckles a hairless old man." No, I'm not making this up. When I challenged him on it, he said, "Admit it, you were having sexual fantasies about me and your daughter." And of all the Town Hall conservatives, Ronna was the only one who called him out on it.

i have the faith that men are basically honorable, regardless of their politics or religion, much less their angry words and fuming and trash-talk.

Wrong!
Men are not angels! Men are born evil sinners inherited from the fall of Man! Selfish brutish animals until trained by their Creator's truth and hard knocks! Once wise, they must govern themselves as they are not angels or there would be no need of any government of man!

However, I think you can't really say he was caught "sleeping" here. You can definitely see his eyes blinking a few times.
Dozing? Perhaps. But let's be fair. There are about a million things we can rightly criticize Franken for, we don't need to make stuff up.

i have the faith that men are basically honorable, regardless of their politics or religion, much less their angry words and fuming and trash-talk. It is a necessary orientation. The republican form of government is impossible without it.
One thing I know for sure: men of decent character are not always good at judging the character of others. And i would distinguish between being basically honorable and being particularly honorable, a distinction that cannot be made in here, owing to incomplete information and self-testifying. Indeed, given the complex ambiguities which exist in the moral universe, one must always be open to the idea that he has misread the honor and virtue "equation."
So, that's where i stand on...

There are a lot of stupid people in Minnesota for sure! I deal with them everyday! It has always been that way. The stupid outnumber the wise!
There are many wise conservatives living here! Just not as many as stupid libs! Hell they even voted for Mondale over Reagan after Jimmy Carter screwed up the nation and made us all suffer!

i haven't caught Vlad doing that, but if he has, i thoroughly and unambiguously renounce him.

Well I am a witness to the fact! So I take it you now understand my animosity toward the ingrate degenerate Vlad/Lucky Pozzo! A slithering maggot of carrion decay who blooms into the blowfly here upon these threads! I would kill him instantly if I meet him with my bare hands and do humanity a favor!

Marc! You have the total right to ridicule Minnesota! I live here by choice and suffer the idiocy of the libs here! Some of the morons that voted for Franken and Obama now are sorry! I say good for them and hope they suffer greatly and go bankrupt with foreclosure on their homes! Nothing teaches like a good solid beating and broken bones!
They all deserve to suffer the horribles of their own liberalism! I laugh at them and spit upon them! Fock them all!
