okay, I get that y'all would like to stomp the dems, but do any of you understand what doing nothing is costing all of us? Any solutions to that one? You do know how many lobbyists were on this (both sides) and how much money these insurance companies use for extremely large salaries and "get aways" right?
As much as I would like to join in, we still have a problem, and it would be nice if there were some people who had some idea's of what to do to keep our insurance in check. Individual policies do not work going across states, and then eventually we will have the same problem.
Any real idea's?

He's right. There "has" been segregation of healthcare in this country. It's just that "they" (congress) get the best healthcare plans on the cheap and we don't. If this bill is so good, why won't they draw it up so that "they" have to have it as well?
Earlier in the debate, Obama said that they drew up their plan to allow Americans the ability to "pool" resources in order to get the best healthcare rates, just like Federal employees get to do. The Republican response to that should have been, "Than let's let the American People join the same pool as the Fed employees and Congress".

Washington have segregated themselves from the citizens of the United States and hold nothing but contempt for anyone who would question what they are attempting to do on behalf of the citizenry. That attitude was abundantly demonstrated at the health care "plummet" today and Obama was the prime example.

You make a valid and indisputable point, and we ought to send Harkwad a mass e-mailing to stick it in his face.

Hey Tom, wouldn't you then agree that our current income tax system does the same? We are all segregated by our income, some paying more than others, some paying none.
According to your way of thinking this is nothing short of evil, divisive segregation!
Should we expect you to lead the charge in reforming the tax code?

Senator Tom Harkin, speaking at the obama health care summit, said our current insurance system is segregating us because it divides us by health class. He went on and on using the word 'segregation' over and over to make his point.

The President appeared as a snappish college professor, or a grumpy board member. The summit's aim was to build a quick yet strong flow of momentuem, which would propel House Dems to vote for the Senate Version via reconcilliation. The hope was for the President to use his authority and wonkish insights to way-lay the GOP and create a short window that would provide cover for a quick House vote.
All things considered, it appears that Stupak and at least 30 other very nervous House Blue Dogs haven't changed thier minds. Pelosi only has about 190-1905 votes. She needs 218.
So now it appears that Senator Reid will attempt to push the newly released WH version of ObamaCare. The only problem with this route, is that the WH...
