Guess What? New Government-Standard Light Bulbs Emit 'Poisonous Materials'

A new report shows CFLs, the lightbulbs that meet the government's new requirements for those products, emit poisonous materials when turned on, according to an article in the UK Telegraph

. One expert phrased it as 'electric smog' that emanates from the light bulbs, which emit cancer-causing chemicals. Another of the experts quoted in the piece said the light bulbs should "kept as far away as possible from the human environment."

It's not as if we weren't getting radiated enough going through TSA body scanners.

No wonder we don't want the government to take over our health care.
