Study: 10.2 Million Adult Males Aren't Working

A staggering 10.2 million adult males in the U.S. between the ages of 25-54 do not have jobs, according to a new study published by staffers under the supervision of Senate Budget Committee Ranking Member Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.). Put differently, roughly 3 million more working-age men are unemployed and looking for work today -- or are unemployed and have left the left the workforce altogether -- than in 2007. Staffers compiled and analyzed the data by using figures obtained exclusively from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS):

Concern about the overall weakness of the U.S. economy has perhaps taken a backseat to sundry reports of ongoing abuses, corruption, and negligence at the VA and other federal government agencies. But if anything these graphs really show just how difficult it is to find gainful employment these days -- especially for men in their primary working years.
