Let's face it: members of Congress are criticized every single day of their lives, right? It comes with the territory. And social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter only make it easier for their most vocal detractors to find them.

The website www.nowthisnews.com therefore decided to take a page out of the Jimmy Kimmel handbook, and have some fun. How? By asking pols -- from both political parties -- to read aloud not-so-nice messages they received from their Twitter followers.
