Tom Brokaw Accuses Fox News of Waging 'Jihad' for Trump

President Trump has made no secret that he likes to watch Fox News. He has offered the network the most interviews since becoming president and often tweets well wishes to the network's rating success.

Journalist Tom Brokaw thinks the relationship is an unhealthy one. In an interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Thursday, he accused Fox News of waging "jihad" for President Trump.

He exonerated one anchor, but clearly the network at large was guilty.

"Well, he watches Fox News because it reinforces what he believes. Fox News, after Shepard Smith in the late afternoon, is on a jihad right now on the whole question about whether there's a fairness about this or not, the transfer of Uranium, for example, to Iran. Shep Smith has gone into some detail to say it didn't happen. [Hillary Clinton] didn't have the authority to do that."

After the 5:00 hour, Brokaw says the network goes full attack mode on the FBI and other federal agencies.

"So we're at war here, and it's going to be sorted out in the final analysis," he concluded.

Brokaw may as well add Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee to his list of those supposedly waging jihad for the president. Politico reported Thursday that the small group of lawmakers are investigating the FBI and the DOJ for what they perceive to be an anti-Trump bias.

They have their reasons.
