Afghanistan's American University Is Under Attack

UPDATE: New reports show that one student is dead, and 25 others are injured after an attack on American University in Kabul.

UPDATE: Five people are injured and have been taken to the hospital, reports NBC.

Gunmen have stormed The American University of Afghanistan in Kabul, multiple news sources are reporting.

Witnesses have reported hearing both gunfire and explosions.

Multiple students and professors are trapped inside.

Weeks before Wednesday's attack, two professors were kidnapped outside of the university by five gunmen who were wearing Afghan military uniforms.
