Dylann Roof has been found guilty of murdering nine African-American churchgoers at the Mother Emanuel AME Church last June in Charleston, SC. The jury took only two hours to come back with a guilty verdict.

Roof was found guilty on all 33 counts he faced, and faces the death penalty or life in prison for 17 of them. His sentencing will come at a later date. Roof had confessed to the shooting the day after it happened, following a brief manhunt that led to his capture.
