And the Republican Response Is . . . ?

And the Republican Response Is . . . ?

This is the sort of thing that just makes you want to throw your hands up in disgust.

This morning, President Obama is holding a Rose Garden event to highlight those who have been helped by ObamaCare. And in response, Republicans are . . . doing nothing.

We are now constantly inundated with stories detailing the skyrocketing cost of insurance, people complaining that they are losing their insurance -- and their doctors . All this, and yet, the GOP can't be bothered to host its own event to tell their stories. Where is Mitch McConnell? Where is John Boehner?

This is the reason so many conservatives are disenchanted with the Republican Party. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that if the Establishment strategy is to work, Americans as a whole are going to have to be aware that ObamaCare is a manifest failure. So is the DC GOP leadership just lazy, or is their claim to want to repeal ObamaCare simply a cynical ploy?

I believe that creating a third party would be tantamount to conservatives committing suicide. But when one witnesses the kind of manifest incompetence on display by Beltway Republicans, it's easy to understand the temptation. It really is.
