Hillary Requests $2.3 Billion in Earmarks

Hillary Clinton may be campaigning for the Democratic nomination for President, but that doesn't mean she's neglecting the busy work of routing earmarks to her homestate.

The Hill reports
Hillary is requesting a stunning $2.3 billion in funding for pet projects this year.

Reporters Manu Raju and Kevin Bogardus note this amount is "almost three times the largest amount received by a single senator this year" and "the total amount Clinton requested greatly surpasses the $837 million secured last year by Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi, the ranking Republican on the Appropriations Committee who took home the largest dollar amount of earmarks in the current fiscal year’s spending bills."
