“Let’s Move On” From the Trump Tape

Ben Carson told CNN Tuesday that it’s time to “move on” on from the Trump tape.

The former Republican presidential nominee has called Trump’s lewd comments about women “locker room” talk. However, he noted during his interview that labeling them as such isn't an excuse.

“It doesn’t excuse the words, it doesn't excuse what was done. I think it’s abominable. I don’t think there’s anyway you can justify it. I don’t hear anyone trying to justify it,” Carson told CNN's Brianna Keilar. “But let’s move on.”

Earlier in the interview, Carson reminded everyone that the video was from eleven years ago when Trump was a “billionaire playboy,” not the Republican presidential nominee.

Carson went on to say that this isn't the first time he’s heard this type of talk, either.

“I’ve heard people talking like that. Of course. Are you kidding me?” Carson said incredulously. “As I was growing up, people were always trying to talk about their sexual conquest and trying to make themselves appear like Casanova. I’m surprised you haven’t heard that. I really am.”

Keilar told Carson that she and many others have never heard such lewd remarks being made.

Carson then made the mistake of saying “Well maybe that’s the problem.”

Unlike many other notable Republicans, Carson is still in support of Trump.
