Sarah Palin Writes an Open Letter to Republican Freshmen Members of Congress

Sarah Palin has written an open letter on Fox News' website to freshman members of Congress telling them to stick to the principles that got them elected:

"Some of you have asked for my thoughts on how best to proceed in the weeks and months ahead and how best to advance an agenda that can move our country forward. I have a simple answer: stick to the principles that propelled your campaigns," she writes.

Palin goes on to lay out an incredibly detailed and yet all-encompassing plan for an op-ed, advising them on national security, free-trade agreements, cutting government spending, Israel, checking the growth of spending on entitlements,  and advising against the START treaty in the lame duck session.

She's also optimistic of their mission: "You, freshmen lawmakers, can and will be powerful voices in support of foreign policies that protect our interests and promote our values! Thank you for being willing to fight for our values and our freedom!"

It's a beautiful conservative message and rallying cry, but it also certainly sounds like a Palin's roadmap for America, and you can't help but wonder if that road leads to 2012 in her mind. It's all speculation still -- the main reference to 2012 comes here:

"In all this, you should extend a hand to President Obama and Democrats in Congress. After this election, they may finally be prepared to work with Republicans on some of these issues for the good of the country. And if not, we will all be looking forward to 2012."

You can read the op-ed in its entirety here.
