Pelosi Demands Immediate Debate on AUMF for Syria

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has asked Speaker Paul Ryan to call the House back in session immediately to begin debate on an Authorization of the Use of Military Force for any further action in Syria. She sent him the following letter on Friday urging him to disrupt the two-week recess.

Some of her fellow Democrats are demanding more of the same.

The U.S. launched an airstrike on a Syrian airfield Thursday night which was believed to be the source of Tuesday's deadly chemical attack.

The action has received mixed responses from lawmakers.
