Michele Bachmann, caught strolling through Baltimore-Washington Airport on her return from New Hampshire, said she was “very pleased” by her performance in Monday night’s big debate.
The Minnesota congresswoman said she liked the loose format for the GOP presidential debate, and the chance to interact with voters, who posed many of the questions from remote locations.
Ms. Bachmann made her presidential ambitions official during the debate, which was broadcast nationwide on CNN. She got in a number of good applause lines, including her pledge guaranteeing that President Barack Obama would serve only one term. Many pundits said she came in a close second behind former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
