It seems the abortion industry never stops putting its positive spin on the bad news it continues to receive.
Last year, as many Americans remember, The Susan G. Komen Foundation was concerned that Planned Parenthood was not using grants that Komen provided for breast cancer screenings as the grants required, so it announced it would no longer provide grants to Planned Parenthood affiliates, and a political firestorm erupted.
After investigating Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast over allegations that it charged Medicaid for services which were not rendered and which were medically unnecessary, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott’s office announced a $1.4 million fine for the abortionists.
“Priceless” is the value most moms and dads would put on their newborn child. A newborn represents the delicate and fragile nature of life itself. Many would call their newborn baby a “miracle.”
Guilty as charged. That was a Philadelphia jury’s verdict against abortionist Kermit Gosnell for multiple murders of babies in his Pennsylvania abortion facility. The jury also convicted Gosnell of hundreds of lesser criminal offenses. To avoid the death penalty, Gosnell agreed to serve the rest of his life in prison. This sordid chapter in the battle for the life on the unborn child is now over.
Over the past year, it seems the news cycle has gotten worse and worse for Planned Parenthood. Besides learning that they cook their books to hide financial disclosures, are doing their best to convert the Girl Scouts into a Planned Parenthood Youth Camp, and support the Obama Administration’s abortion pill mandate (it means more business for them on your dime), we’ve also learned that they refuse to denounce gender-selective abortions—the practice of killing a preborn child because he is a he or she is a she.
Planned Parenthood is known for many things, most prominent among them being death, the promotion of sexual promiscuity, a war on the nuclear family, and financial support of the homosexual agenda.
It used to be said that the way to a man’s heart was through his stomach. Saying this was a tongue and cheek means of addressing simpler times and plainer ways. In the same lighthearted spirit the way to a woman’s heart was viewed as far more mysterious, and was often described as a path laced with kindness, understanding, flowers, and a diamond or two.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America recently posted a job opening for Vice President of Communications. According to the announcement, it is looking for someone who is “strategic, innovative and experienced,” with the capability of providing “vision, leadership and direction for PPFA’s communications.” (I suppose it’s a given that possible applicants are those who were fortunate enough to be born instead of aborted as children.)
In a growing number of states around the country, legislators and other office holders are doing their best to stem the flow of taxpayer monies into Planned Parenthood’s coffers. And as they do this, it’s understood that they’re one judge away from having their legislation crippled or thrown out, and the financial lifeline to Planned Parenthood reopened.
