Liberals Trash Christianity Non-Stop, Then Blame The 2nd Amendment When Someone Murders Christians

A gunman singled out Christians, telling them they would see God in “one second,” during a rampage at an Oregon college Thursday that left at least nine innocent people dead and several more wounded, survivors and authorities said.

“[He started] asking people one by one what their religion was. ‘Are you a Christian?’ he would ask them, and if you’re a Christian, stand up. And they would stand up and he said, ‘Good, because you’re a Christian, you are going to see God in just about one second.’ And then he shot and killed them,” Stacy Boylen, whose daughter was wounded at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore., told CNN. -- The New York Post

Liberals are delighted when there’s a mass shooting because as Rahm Emanuel famously said, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”

Of course, they’d deny they feel that way, but before the blood even cools on the floor after a mass shooting, liberals are always working en masse to take advantage of the situation. After the shooting in Oregon, Barack Obama immediately took to the airwaves to declare that, “This is something that should be politicized.“

…and that’s what it is: pure politics because inevitably, nothing liberals ever seem to suggest would make mass shootings happen less frequently. In all fairness, that’s because what liberals really want is total gun confiscation, but taking that position would cement the Democrat Party out of power for a generation.

So, if you ask Democrats what gun control law would prevent mass shootings, they inevitably lock up the same way they do when they’re asked to name a noteworthy accomplishment of Hillary Clinton that would qualify her to be President.

Of course, there are policies that would help prevent these shootings and save lives, but liberals have no interest in discussing the trade-offs any of them would require because it doesn’t further their agenda. Worse yet, they don’t want to take any measures to prevent mass shootings because fewer deaths would undercut their ultimate goal of total gun confiscation.

Given that most shootings (including the latest one) seem to happen in gun-free zones, getting rid of gun-free zones would seem to be a smart first step in stopping these shootings.

The NRA has also suggested having armed guards in schools across the country. That would be an expensive measure, but it does at least have the benefit of addressing the issue. Umpqua Community College did have a security guard, but he was unarmed. If he had a gun, it’s entirely possible that a lot of lives would have been saved.

In this case, as per usual, the shooter seemed to have rather severe mental health issues. Making it much easier to involuntarily commit people like that would probably cut into the number of mass shootings. Of course, the overwhelming majority of people with mental health issues are a threat to no one other than themselves; so many people might question whether the cost and their loss of liberty would be worth it.

Also, perhaps most importantly given this situation, the killer was targeting Christians specifically. After the shooting in Charleston, people latched onto the fact that the killer took a picture with a Confederate flag and they speculated that might have had something to do with the shooting.

In this case, maybe we should ask whether the incessant hate rhetoric that liberals aim at Christians influenced the killer.

Is it a coincidence that this happened when the most anti-Christian president in history is in office? Is it a coincidence that this happened when Christians are being openly persecuted in the military with the blessing of the Obama administration? Is it a coincidence that this happened when liberal gay groups are trying to make it impossible for Christians to work in certain professions unless they’re willing to violate their beliefs to support gay marriage? Is it a coincidence that this happened when most mainstream media publications would rather cut off a thumb than show a picture of the prophet Muhammad while they happily promote anti-Christian art? Is it a coincidence that this happened when every prominent American Christian from Tim Tebow to Franklin Graham is treated with absolute contempt and disgust by liberals?

Read the sort of hate that liberals habitually aim at Christians without getting anything but pats on the back from other liberals and tell me why we shouldn’t be asking if their hateful rhetoric had a role in these killings?

“Their God … keeps smashing them into little grease spots on the pavement in Alabama, and Mississippi, and Arkansas, and Georgia, and Oklahoma. You know, the Bible belt, where [in a mocking voice] they ain’t gonna let no godd@mned science get in the way, it says in the Bible, blah blah blah blah blah. So, according to their way of thinking, God with his omnipotent thumb reaches down here and so far tonight has smashed about 20 people into a grease spot on highway 12, or whatever the hell highway they live next to.”Mike Malloy

"Q: What if Mary had taken Plan B after the Lord filled her with his hot, white, sticky Holy Spirit?

A: You'd have to justify your misogyny with another ancient mythology." – blogger and John Edwards staffer, Amanda Marcotte

“You can tell the Bible guys in the hall they can come back now because I’m done beating up the Bible. It’s funny to someone who is on the receiving end of beatings that are justified by the Bible how pansy-ass people react when you push back.” -- White House endorsed “anti-bullying” bully, Dan Savage to Christian HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS who had walked out of a talk he was giving when he started bashing Christianity

“You’re allowed to have your opinion that a Palestinian 2000 years ago walked on water and did magic tricks and he was really still his own father and all that stuff. That’s fine. You can have whatever opinion you want, and the fact that a billion other people believe it gives you a lot of strength and credence. But I also have the opinion that that’s ridiculous, that it’s anachronistic, this is the 21st century.”Bill Maher

“Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America where we have a separation of church and state.”Rosie O’Donnell

In a country where the Boy Scouts are being persecuted out of existence, the Obama administration has gone to court to try to force the Little Sisters of the Poor to violate their beliefs and liberals are sneering at Christians on a regular basis, no one should be surprised that someone responded to all that hate by murdering Christians for their faith.
