Will Sarah Palin make a run at the GOP Nomination in 2012?

Random thoughts on the passing scene:

Most of the problems of this country are not nearly as bad as the "solutions" -- especially the solutions that politicians come up with during election years.

Some people actually think that televising Congress gives us information. What it really does is give politicians millions of dollars worth of free advertising, while they play charades on camera to fool the rest of us.

Alfred E. Neuman of Mad magazine said: "What, me worry?" During election years, Democrats running for office say: "What, me liberal?"

Senator John McCain could never convince me to vote for him. Only Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama can cause me to vote for McCain.

What is more scary than any particular candidate or policy is the gullibility of the public and their willingness to be satisfied with talking points, rather than serious arguments.

One way to reduce illegal immigration might be to translate some of our far left publications into Spanish and give everyone in Mexico subscriptions. After they read how terrible this country is, many may want to stay away.

Whenever I see one of Barack Obama's smooth performances, it reminds me of a saying from my old neighborhood in Harlem: "An eel is like sandpaper compared to you."

Most people on the right have no problem understanding people on the left because many, if not most, were on the left themselves when they were younger. But many, if not most, people on the left find it inexplicable how any decent and intelligent person could be on the right.

It is amazing to me that there are people who still take seriously claims by some candidates that they are against "special interests." All politicians are against their opponents' special interests and in favor of his own special interests.

Nothing is more fraudulent than calls for a "dialogue on race." Those who issue such calls are usually quick to cry "racism" at any frank criticism. They are almost invariably seeking a monologue on race, to which others are supposed to listen. Continued...

Religion
Not being someone that keeps on top of the political issues, reading the paper, and watching you-tube e-mails,I have come to the decision that I will vote for McCain. After reading through all of the comments posted here,I fail to see anyone bring up the subject of Obama's religion. How can anyone vote for president a man that in a public gathering, lay his hand on the Koran, refuse to pledge allegiance to our flag, and does'nt like the Star Spangled Banner? My husband Bob says everyone has the freedom of religion, yes in a sense they do,but not when you separate church from state, our kids can't pray in school, the Ten Commandments are being taken from goverment buildings and monuments,no,don't lay your hand on the Koran in public. So,what if Oboma becomes president? Does that mean my kids and grandkids have to abort the Christian way that was taught them, that has been around for hundreds of years,is this what Oboma means by "change"? Bob also told me that their religion beleives that if you don't follow their way,you are the enemy.I really beleive this,as I did'nt forget the planes that crashed into the Twin Towers, and the Pentagon, taking all of those innocent lives....have you? I don't give a d##m about him being black,so don't throw that fish into my pond, like all of the other issues that we have going on,not mentioning gas prices, food prices, cost of living, war in Iraq,I keep hearing a line over and over in the back of my head, Be American,Buy American. Oboma has been linked with terrorists, and he's not that good looking and smooth, rather rough skinned and not a very good speaker, grasping for words. If Oboma gets elected President,do we all have to follow his religion? Does that mean if I refuse to kneel on a mat 3-4 times a day,his army will come to my house and cap me in the back of the head,or maybe behead me? I beleive in my God,not anyone elses, even though I'm not a church going girl,I still believe...Do you?

Nailed It
I've sent this to me Socialist, Liberal "Son in Law" and future professor to see how he is going to tear this apart. I think he is up against the ropes on this one. Thanks for a great article.
