Poll
Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Gates is referring to Democrats.

"In an odd way, many liberals are tone-deaf about normal people, who worship God, country, sports and their communities and don't care all that much about politics," says former Villanova political scientist Bob Maranto.

Maranto says what's causing Pennsylvania voters to give Obama a second look goes beyond Obama's "share the wealth" notion: "They are suspicious of him and his Ivy League buddies who have never run anything in their lives (but) that now want to run the country."

He adds that "it is all in the arrogance."

Liberal Democrats often have a hard time in this state because they don't understand why voters in poor, rural areas don't "vote their pocketbooks." Frankly, these are not very materialistic people; if you live in Johnstown or in Elk County and you care that much about money, then you will leave for better opportunities in the big city.

People who stay behind don't care as much about money as they care about their families or communities.

To ambitious politicians such as Obama or running mate Joe Biden, that's just crazy; they can't imagine folks who care more about family or community than about getting ahead.

Oh, this doesn't mean that people in places like Elk County or Centre County aren't ambitious -- they are. But rather than focus on material needs, they focus on being better parents or better hunters, better Christians, better whatevers. It's a different, more laid-back life.

Much the same can be said for the Pittsburgh region, where many people live within a few miles of where they grew up.

Who will close the deal in Pennsylvania? The polls say Obama; the pundits, too.

Let's see what the voters say.

BORN IN PA.
Because I was born in Pa.I feel I do understand the people, their lives(good or bad)and their honest, hard working ethics that make Pa. what it is. For years, I have watched and listened to the Dems "promise them everything BEFORE the elections, but shortly after-they don't even know their names or care". The people of Pa. did largely vote Dem, year in, year out, but it hasn't done them much good in the long run. It was their own Gov.Rendell who tried to pull a fast one in 2004, by not wanting to count the military vote(assuming it would be for the GOP)
as they can't stand the military and cut the funds, and during Clinton's terms-cut not only the budgets for the Military, but demoralized them as well. When I revisit Pa. I see little in the way of change for the local businesses, the potholes that are always apparent and roads not taken care of(bridges as well) and things pretty much look the same. In OTHER words-the Dems promise to take care of these kind of things and to be on the side of business which hires people, but THEY DON'T. There is a large
black population, and the Dems STILL promise the
same old things(and as always)don't do a thing for them AFTER they get in office. How easily they dupe and con the people, but again, still get their Dem votes. It now seems that Pa.is being conned once again, by a Socialist, Obama,
who will not only promise everything, but he will TAKE from those who have managed to lift
up their lives. It is like being stuck in a "time warp of Democrat empty promises, and now, by Obama, who has made fun of Pa:"they hang onto their religion, guns and bitterness"
Perhaps Pa. will HAVE to do this even moreso, if Obama gets in and sends America into Socialism, as he so admires Chavez in Venezuala
who also controls the population.

PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED AGAIN PA...KEEP AMERICA FREE, AND RESPECT PAST GENERATIONS THAT FOUGHT FOR THAT RIGHT, - FREEDOM.

Tomorrow!
This is it1 If you are Republican...,JUST DO IT!! Vote McCain/Palin. No more talking points ad infinitum/ ad nauseum. just vote!!!!!

and if you are voting for Barry dunham...,as ACORN espouses...,vote early, voote often you NITWITS!
