Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

She may even create a Sister Souljah moment like Bill Clinton in 1992, turning on one or two radical groups that she’s currently allied with — like DailyKos — to align herself with Middle America.

Now, look at the Republicans.

There can be no doubt that the chief beneficiaries of progress in Iraq are Rudy Giuliani and John McCain. This is Mr. McCain’s top issue as a war hero, and for Mr. Guiliani it gets back to his proven ability to stand strong and be calm in the midst of tragedy and crisis.

This also creates a challenge for the governors in the race, Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. They will have to make the case that they’re ready to handle these overseas challenges.

The Petraeus report is certainly something Mr. Huckabee needs to consider closely. With his very strong showing in the Iowa Straw Poll, he’s now accepted as a viable candidate. Money is pouring in, fundraisers are being held, and he’s pushing forward in additional states. It’s his chance to play in the major leagues.

Mr. Huckabee should invest some of these newfound resources into expanding his foreign policy team, and add national security and foreign relations material to his stump speech. He’s gotten people’s attention with health care, education, and family. Now he needs to do it with Iran and North Korea.

America is looking for a commander in chief who can fight and win the war on terror. This is a conflict against radical Islamic militants, waging a global jihad against Western civilization. Every candidate needs to explain what they would do, and every voter must demand a president who can keep us safe.

I Agree With Sen Schumer

He's right. It is at best a leap of logic (with a backflip or two thrown in for good measure) that Sunni tribes in Anbar would take up arms against Al Queda BECAUSE more American troops have arrived. It seems more reasonable that they are protecting themselves because no one else was doing so. Maybe it was unfair of Sen Schumer to say "in spite of". Perhaps "independently of" would be closer to the truth.

No, he's NOT a Traitor, he's NOT an 'appeaser', he's calling it like he sees it, and he makes alot of sense.

Schumer's hateful, disgraceful rant
This is what Senator Charles Schumer, the third-ranking Democrat in the Senate, said on the floor of the Senate yesterday.

"“This is a policy of last resort! This is a policy of desperation! And let me be clear: the violence in Anbar has gone down despite the surge, not because of the surge!” The lack of protection for these tribes from al Qaeda made it clear to these tribes, ‘We have to fight al-Qaeda ourselves’. It wasn’t that the surge brought peace here. It was that the warlords had to create a temporary peace here on their own. And that is because there was no one else there [US soldiers] protecting them!”

This man is a traitor. I have heard that he tried to "backtrack" on these remarks today, but I am not accepting any explanations or apologies.

Larry Craig has to resign because he played footsie with an undercover cop, but this traitor gets a pass for denigrating our troops and lying?

It's time for all you libs who claim to support the troops to stand up and be counted. Schumer won't resign just because a bunch of cons like me say he should. Stand up and show us how much you really care about the troops. Run this traitor out of DC on a rail.
