Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Hmmm. It was just announced that "local food" chef Sam Kass, who cooked for the Obamas in Chicago, has joined the first family at the White House, working alongside executive chef Cristeta Comerford.

TWIN SONS

Step aside Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey and make room for famed pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson and Oscar winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr.

Washington malpractice lawyer Jack Olender was among invited guests who attended Monday night's world premiere of "Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story," and says the similarities between the doctor and actor are "truly amazing."

"You could believe it was Carson's soft, gentle, reassuring voice coming out of Cuba Gooding's mouth," says Mr. Olender.

Both the doctor and actor attended the TNT network screening on the Johns Hopkins' medical campus and spoke to a full house that included doctors and nurses. "The purpose of the movie was ... to inspire," Dr. Carson pointed out.

Mr. Olender gives the performance "four stars," and says "have Kleenex handy."

BORN AGAIN

Producer Norman Lear has commissioned a song to motivate people to volunteer in their communities and become "born again" in the patriotic sense.

The "Born Again American" song features ordinary Americans performing before 14 iconic landmarks from the Statue of Liberty to the Golden Gate Bridge, encouraging citizens to pledge themselves to be "their country's keeper" through higher leves of service and civic engagement.

the oryuckle pipe dream:
"The reason that Hispanics vote about 2:1 for 'Crats is that they are more likely to be poor and undereducated... and they are likely to remain so, uniquely among immigrant groups."

REPLY:

If they were all poor or ignorant, your yucks would seem reasonable. The truth is, all your fringe hate-speech and the interference of your so-called Minute Men, together with daily excoriation of Mexicans who came illegally (by radio talk hosts and their knee-jerk listeners)

--Served to convince every LEGAL hispanic voter we're all just racists on the Right. This was borne out on the O'Reilly Factor by two guests, Geraldo and Dick Morris.

We proceeded to blow the 2006 mid-term elections and this November the White House. Hispanics and Mexican-American voters would have backed McCain, otherwise. He at least seemed amenable to the idea of amnesty.

But overall, we were perceived by the whole hispanic voting bloc as unworthy of their support. Too much racist hooting and cursing for the longest time. We branded ourselves racists of the GOP. Thanks in part to loons like you.

" . . . the left wants to make voters of 12-20 million ILLEGALS, who are mostly Hispanic and would assure the hegemony of the left in perpetuity, because they would morph into 60-100 million new Hispanics here over the next 20 years per Heritage:"

Yeah; thanks to racists like you.

the myth of turning the Hispanic vote

It is indeed the pro amnestia ilk which is braying that Hispanics are alienated by opposition to ILLEGAL aliens. Fully half of LEGAL Hispanics voted for tough new anti-ILLEGAL state laws in Az. in 2006.

The reason that Hispanics vote about 2:1 for 'Crats is that they are more likely to be poor and undereducated... and they are likely to remain so, uniquely among immigrant groups. This is why the left wants to make voters of 12-20 million ILLEGALS, who are mostly Hispanic and would assure the hegemony of the left in perpetuity, because they would morph into 60-100 million new Hispanics here over the next 20 years per Heritage:

It is also true that it was the alienation of conservatives and the failure of RINOS to be true republicans that served up this loss. Amnesty John was the candidate of the RINOS.

The turnout in this election was LOWER than in 2004, despite all of the new voters signed up by the left. It was conservatives who were disheartened that made the difference.

People voted more AGAINST neoCON RINOS Presidente Jorge Bush and Amnesty John than FOR Obama... in that sense, the ObaMessiah was a lucky guy-- he was following and opposing misguided boobs.
