Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Fervent. 1. Hot, burning, glowing, boiling. -- Oxford English Dictionary

WASHINGTON -- "Fervently" is how America will henceforth engage in talks on global warming. So said the president's climate change negotiator Sunday in Germany, at a U.N. conference on reducing carbon emissions. This vow was fervently applauded by conferees welcoming the end of what AP's news story called the Bush administration's "eight years of obdurate participation" in climate talks.

Reducing carbon emissions supposedly will reverse warming, if it resumes after the current period without warming, a period that began, according to statistics published by the World Meteorological Organization, 11 years ago. Regarding the reversing, the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change has many ambitions, as outlined in a working group's 16-page "information note" to "facilitate discussions." For example:

"Tariffs can be lowered to grant special preference to climate-friendly goods, or they can be maintained at high levels to discourage trade in GHG (greenhouse gas)-intensive goods and services." The working group says protectionism "in the service of climate change objectives" might virtuously "shelter domestic producers of climate-friendly goods."

Furthermore, using "border carbon adjustment," a nation might virtuously "impose costs on imports equivalent to that (sic) faced by domestic producers" operating under a carbon tax. Or a nation with a cap-and-trade regime regulating carbon emissions by domestic manufacturers might require foreign manufacturers "to buy offsets at the border equal to that (sic) which the producer would have been forced to purchase had the good been produced domestically."

Cynics will see only potential for mischief by governments, including the U.S. government, using such measures to give a green patina to protectionism. Meanwhile, the U.S. government is having its own problems with one "climate-friendly good" that might not be. Last week The New York Times front page carried this headline: "The Bulb That Saved the Planet May Be a Little Less Than Billed."

The story recounted some Americans' misadventures with the new light bulbs that almost all Americans -- all but those who are filling their closets with supplies of today's incandescent bulbs -- will have to use after the phaseout of today's bulbs in 2014. (You missed that provision of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007?)

A San Francisco -- naturally -- couple emerged from Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth" incandescent with desire to think globally and act locally, in their home. So they replaced their incandescent bulbs with the compact fluorescents that Congress says must soon be ubiquitous. "Instead of having a satisfying green moment, however," the Times reported, "they wound up coping with a mess."

Although supposed to last 10,000 hours and save, the Times says, "as much as" $5.40 a year in electricity costs, some bulbs died within a few hours. Some experts, reports the Times, "blame the government for the quality problems," saying its push to cut the bulbs' prices prompted manufacturers to use inferior components.

Furthermore, some experts have written a guide saying the new bulbs require "a little insight and planning." The Times says that "may be an understatement."

The bulbs, says the Times, "do not do well in hot places with little airflow, like recessed ceiling fixtures," and some do not work "with dimmers or three-way sockets." And: "Be aware that compact fluorescents can take one to three minutes to reach full brightness. This is not a defect." Well, if you say so. Because all fluorescents contain mercury, a toxic metal, they must never be put in the trash, so Home Depot and other chains offer bins for disposing of dangerous bulbs. Driving to one of these disposal points might not entirely nullify the bulbs' environmental benefits. Besides, the Times summarizes the Environmental Protection Agency's helpful suggestions for coping with the environmental dangers caused when one of these environment-saving bulbs breaks:

"Clear people and pets from the room and open a window for at least 15 minutes if possible. Avoid vacuuming. Scoop up larger pieces with stiff paper or cardboard, pick up smaller residue with sticky tape, and wipe the area with a damp cloth. Put everything into a sealed plastic bag or sealed glass jar. In most cases, this can be put in the trash, but the EPA recommends checking local rules."

Worrywarts wonder what will happen when a lazy or careless, say, 10 percent of 300 million Americans put their worn-out bulbs in the trash. Stop worrying. What do you think? That Congress, architect of the ethanol industry and designer of automobiles, does not think things through?

WDC and the 50 Dwarfs
It is refreshing to see this subject talked about from something other than the good, the bad, or the ugly, referring to the science behind accepting CO2 as an atmospheric poison.
I can say this as I have written a few myself.

The whole premise of AGW rests on the idea that CO2 (Carbon Dioxide)is a miracle molecule that single handedly, and in micro-minuscule amounts can destroy the, planet earth's obviously precarious atmospheric temperature balance. After all it has only functioned within life sustaining limits for some 1 to 2 billion years. Obviously CO2 as a danger to mankind is sheer poppycock.

Man made CO2 and the concept of AGW aka Climate Change, the new ALGORE earth religion is, on the other hand, fully capable of creating a miracle of another sort. It can make a certain group of unscrupulous prevaricators (Politicians) obscenely rich while depleting the United States of Trillions of Dollars to finance a world (Globalist) fascist (Socialist) state.

It is more than a little encouraging that our Congress is feeling some serious heat from the people on this Cap and Trade thievery. I wish I could herald this as a reemergence of something even remotely resembling representative government. This will last until they can cook up some other scheme to extract those same trillions.

I have to wonder if it is not time for an "overhaul". Remove the current "engine", WDC and the 50 Dwarfs, and replace with a new model.

Dennis Prager, this poem's for you.
Heard on your radio show today a discussion on this column. As someone from your generation, thought you'd appreciate my "ODE TO GLOBAL WARMING": However has it come to pass// That 59 years I've managed to amass// For in every decade I've been told// I should not plan to ever get old// Life on earth it has been said to me// Is about to come to an end, you'll see// In the 60's Zero Population Growth said// From mass starvation we'd all be dead// In the 70's Newsweek told of sceintists with sage// Who were sure I was gonna freeze in an approaching ice age// Reagan's election brought warnings without compunction// Of my imminent vaporizing from Mutually Assured Destruction// Later, Jane Fonda warned no basement in my home// Would stop me from glowing in the coming China Syndrome// And I really took in much asprin from Bayer// When told of a hole in the ozone layer// Next it was to be more human caused bedlam// When the clock struck midnight on the new millenium// Now a new catastrophe-to-be is a forming// My life could be cut short by global warming// This is really more than I can take// 60 candles now banished from my next birthday cake// But wait, alas, things are becoming clear// If the soothsayers were right, why am I still here?// Endtimers thought warnings might spur a solutions inspirer// But they have a worse record than the physics in Enquirer// As highliving fearmongers tree planting "carbon offsets" take root// It's looking more like symbolism, do they really give a hoot?// I hold no grudge for my sensibilities made brittle// For maybe they were convinced just like Chicken Little// I now discount seriously the doomsdayers din// I feel so much better without all that spin// So when next the fanatics sound the alarm// Be thee skeptical it'll cause real harm// Don't panic for you have this poem with rhyme// Pause to remember and think a second time. I Hope I Live Long Enough
Just to see CONGRESS *Control the Weather*..I'm old enough to have actually done my homework by the light of a Kerosene Lamp.. (Yes, even WV had/has schools).. Between the fumes from those Lamps and dust & fumes from a #2 Burnside Coal Burner for heat, it's a wonder we didn't all die, but here I AM!!
I HOPE I'm gone by then but when these IDIOTS in Wash D&Csp Intentional)get thru with their version of the Weather we'll all wish the Mayan Calendar is right about 2012..CHEERS

Send them back their bulbs
I have been stocking up on light bulbs as well as detergent (no phosphate mean greasy dishes). I wish I had done more ammo stockpiling, I guess it is never too late to start.

Also, Congress assumes all heat is wasted. It is not. When you most use the bulbs (winter) is when the heat is also used. If you remove the heat from the bulb, your furnace just has to work harder. It is simple conservation vis-a-vis the law of conservation of energy. The heat is not wasted.

I suggest we send our defunct CFL bulbs to members of Congress for them to dispose of them. I have never had one last 10,000 hours.

Eric
And food.

The True Story Of The Year!!!

I just returned from picking up my son at the airport; whereupon, I met the "Forrest Gump" of AirTran. This lovely, young African-American woman served as the meeter-greeter, counter agent, peanut provider and forgotten baggage representative for AirTran. When we were forced to meet last to discuss my son's lost baggage, she asked him to name some of the identifiable contents. He replied, among other things, that his luggage included an Ipod charger and speakers. And, how did this lovely woman respond? "That's too bad, you could have sent them to Queen Elizabeth II!"

What a wonderful treasure this young woman is and could she have responded is a more pointed manner?

stockpile
Time for me to stock up on bulbs as well as ammo.

Incandescent Bulbs And Dim Bulbs
I have stocked up with regular bulbs and will not use another kind until the electric grid is up and working. Then "Our Leader's" henchmen will be able to tell me I can use them no more.

bulldog83
"Does anyone know what happened to the perilous hole in the ozone layer that was supposed to open up direct, searing, global melting rays of sunlight that would destroy the globe??!!"

Why yes, some us know what happened. Through the miracle of the InterTubes and The Google, so can you. Summary: the scientists were correct, CFCs were a major cause, Cons were a little less likely to disbelieve real science, and we took care of much of the increasing problem although the problem remains.

You're welcome.

You Cons may also want to look up the amount of mercury saved from the atmosphere by using more energy efficient bulbs. It is sad to see so many anti-intellectuals ranting about science when they don;t even bother to read beyond some Will clown. This guy hasn't a clue about science, and it shows.

QUESTION......
Which light bulb uses more energy and natural resources to manufacture? My guess would be the CFL bulb. Am I right?

Whiners Keep On Whining

It started with the Great Society, then The Dumbing Down Of America, and continued with parents' giving their children everything even if it bankrupted the households. Now, we have the whiners, who have never done anything, demanding even more.

Take a look at the New York Time's slime of the clownish behavior in London during the G20:

http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/04/02/protesters-fail -to-bring-down-global-capitalism-with-costumes-puppets/

And, guess what? The whiners are coming to New York City in September for the next G20 meeting.

It's Climate Change now...
I don't know why you guys are still calling it Global Warming. You see, Global Warming is a much narrower theory, it only works when the globe is warming. Since the global has been cooling for the last decade, the theory must be modified to be more general, and hence it is now called Climate Change.

So now, whether the globe is warming or cooling, the theory still holds. The only way to disprove the theory is that if the temperature stays the same forever. Unlike the crazy religious theory about God created the world, which is non-disprovable, there is a least one way to disprove the Climate Change theory.

Of course, it is all humans fault. Instead of whining and complaining, why don't all you sinners give 50% of all of your money to the high priest Al Gore's carbon trading company so that he can pray to the almighty God of Science to atone for your sins.

To make things easier, the gracious Chairman will give 95% of you who make less than $250,000 a year (or is it 200,000, or 150,000 or 90,000? oh well, who cares) a $500 tax cut. It won't cover all the money you will be giving to the high priest, but you should be happy because your evil corporate bosses will be punished.

A Truly Bright Idea
It seems to me everyday that the Goobermint says one thing and does another is April Fool's Day!

Politicians:

Who read the Constitution.

Who reads a bill before passing or signing it.

Who actually PAY taxes.

Who keep campaign promises.

Who actually cuts both the budget and deficit.

Who don't interfere in private enterprise.

My leg is tingling for one man or woman to do the right thing for a change!

Perils of a Bright Idea
What's really unethical here and a major conflict of interest is that Gore, Pelosi, and many other politicos are investing in green technologies on the ground floor while at the same time they promote them (with scare tactics and otherwise) they craft legislation (or otherwise influence legislation) to mandate green technologies in order to boost their investments, usually as a tag team with lobbyists. Many of these technologies, like ethanol production from corn (VERY inefficient), have been shown to be NOT in the best interest of the majority of the American people or the planet, either now or even the future. Global warming as Gore is pushing is far, far from a sure thing. So this is, again, a pack of lies or orchestrated deceit in order to capitalize on investments they’ve made and other nefarious reasons. How low is that?!? I’m not against “going green” and don’t discount global warming completely but since these proposed remedies have such an impact on the economy and people’s lives any measure taken has to be on very firm ground and with a maximum return on investments…not just monetarily but also quality of life for ALL. The solutions must be analyzed from a complete lifecycle perspective to ensure that the downside is absolutely minimized while the upside is maximized, again, not just monetarily but also quality of life for ALL.

What Will Global Warming Matter by 2015?
Obama's "Global Poverty Act of 2015" and his co-sponsor Joe Biden who signed on back in December 2007 specifically states that America is to pay for worldwide abortions - population reduction - and for the reduction of worldwide population for those who ear $1 or less per day - by 50% which is more population reduction then throw the push for more gays by recruiting kids through the public schools and implementing the Hate Crimes discriminatory Bill that throws everyone else in jail for words or thoughts or opinions - you won't have to worry about Global Warming or Climate Change - There won't be many left to feed, clothe, work, or push for freedom, free enterprise, charitable acts, freedom to bear arms, freedom to speak out, freedom of religion or the right to bear arms and own property - if Obama's Global Poverty Act which has the right name - "Poverty" around the world is enforced.

See what I mean about taking credit?
Did you see SteveL take credit for solving the ozone hole that may have been man made? The govt acted, and maybe they deserved credit and maybe not, and the ozone hole is closing. That is so non science. You have to actually prove cause and effect, Steve, if you want credit from me. It still looks likely the hole is naturally occurring, although that doesn't fit the theory that man made flourocarbons caused it. They may have contributed and then again, they may not have contributed. But it is enough for the uninformed to take credit for a successful solution. Most people think the ozone hole is related to global warming theory. Ignorance is rampant.

Can't go wrong with imaginary problems.
We love imaginary problems because no matter what you do or say, you are going to keep it from getting warmer if it is not getting warmer. We get credit for solving a scarey problem and don't have the burden of needing to be right. It is like a strawman that politicians love to make up and then attack. Maybe that is how they thought of it.

That's an easy one

Why is it not okay to throw an unbroken, intact compact fluorescent bulb in your trash, but it's okay to throw a broken one (and all its compnents) in your trash?

Apparently one should break all CFBs after use. Problem solved.

Hey Steve
If global warming is so bad, just detonate hundreds of hydrogen bombs at a nuclear test site.

Problem solved.

Flawed Premises
Two points that the AGW crowd cannot demonstrate are that A) the current temperature level of the planet is optimal or even normal and B) an increase in temperature is harmful.

for Ron
If all that polar ice and glacier ice melts, what do you propose to do with the 200 million people in Bangladesh whose country will be submerged under water?

And what do you propose to do with Florida, whose prime real estate near the beaches will be permanently flooded out?

for bulldog83
bulldog83 asks: "Does anyone know what happened to the perilous hole in the ozone layer"

Yes. Here's what happened:

When scientists said that halocarbons had to be phased out because they were destroying the ozone layer, a combination of industry lobbyists and political know-nothings fought furiously against it.

But the science prevailed. By Federal edict, halocarbons were phased out of aerosol spray cans, fire extinguishers, etc.

And as a result, NASA has found that the hole in the ozone layer started to repair itself. It's pretty much solved.

BUT it required Federal action. Industry didn't like it, and it probably did raise costs to consumers a bit.

But that's the price we pay for all having to share one planet.

In past centuries, when populations were smaller and many isolated parts of the globe remained unexplored, it was possible for capitalism to operate under the idea that if you despoiled one piece of land, you could move on to another. But today, with the globe all explored and seven billion people on it, that's no longer possible.

Either we all find a way to live on one planet without despoiling it for each other, or eventually wars will break out to solve the problem.

We neer global warming, Gorebull
The reason that so much of this planet has had drought for so many centuries is that we’ve been in an ice age, and the water needed for normal condensation has been frozen into glaciers. Glaciers are frozen water needed as condensation for barren and frozen lands of this planet, causing drought and flooding. When glaciers melt, some water runs into the oceans. Some water thaws the ground below where the glacier was, and soaks into the ground. Some water evaporates into the upper atmosphere where it becomes normal rainfall for the whole world.

The heat of the sun, clean air, and the absence of cold from glaciers and sea ice would cause more water to be evaporated from the oceans, lakes, and rivers into the upper atmosphere than there presently is; and the winds would blow it evenly around the world, providing normal rainfall world-wide, even where there presently is drought, and barren and frozen land, preventing flooding.

The worldwide rainfall would cause long-dormant seeds in barren lands to sprout and grow into new plants: The best way to go green. The new plants would inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen, which we breathe. There would be so many new plants, that we might have to increase the amount of carbon dioxide we generate, to provide enough for all of them

If the glacier in Greenland would melt, the codfish would return, and the land could be farmed, as it was when originally colonized by Vikings, millennia ago.

Many parts of the world have record amounts of snow and ice. Arctic ice is as thick as it was in the 1970’s when an ice age was predicted. Polar bears, which had thrived during the previous decade, are heading south to escape the severe cold. We’re entering another ice age in 2014. We must drill and pump all our own oil, shale oil, natural gas, and mine our coal as soon as possible to have them available for use.

Don't be too hard on the ignorant.
They can't help it they are ignorant about the Greenhouse Effect Theory and have to try to gues which of us is right. People who have not had physics, let alone studied science or engineering, can not be expected to get the right answer on questions such as these. If they had respect for education, if they thought education was important, they would turn to the educated for the answer that is most likely to be correct. We who are educated on the subject of global warming related to the Greenhouse Effect Theory, have formed what is nearly a consensus that this theory is not valid. Stop worrying about it.

Light Bulbs are the least of the problem
Light bulbs may be the least of the problem, but this law requiring us to use a certain kind is something every can understand and realize the impact on his life.

Talk about trillions of dollars and our eyes kindof glaze over and we shrug, "what can I do against the most powerful man on earth?".

Come into my home and say I have to use these expensive, hazardous, inconvenient light bulbs which emit an unflattering light and I say, "H___ no!"

The Tea Tax was a small part of the complaint the colonies had against King George, but it touched off the American Revolution.

See you at the Tea Party!

A Solution
Can we not just detonate hydrogen bombs at a nuclear test site? The TTAPS study has proven that this would reduce global temperatures.

If Carbon Emissions Warm the Earth
Then since the temperature of the Earth has been declining since 1998, the present carbon emissions are slowing the progression. Why do we want to reduce them then? It might seem that we ought to increase it, instead except for making the air unbreathable. Why not just go back to trying to reduce air pollution rather than the hogwash of global warming?

Skip The Teabags!

Send a cigarette (fa-g In British slang) or an empty cigarette box instead since Mugabe has broken yet another campaign promise (no one making a penny under $250K will see a tax increase) in order to "save the children". Yes, that is how American and illegal children will receive funding under S-Chip, but cancerous taxpayers will die out. So, how's that going to save anyone or fund the insane spending?

Do only the "EVIL RICH" smoke?

Can I bum a fa-g so I can save the poor little babies?

For further wackiness, consider the British researcher that tea is a carcinogenic! Of course, not wanting to slam the national pastime, he advised letting your cup cool for 5 minutes!

Also, I wonder if Gordon Brown wasn't so chummy with Mugabe because he wanted another bailout??? And, you my fellow Americans will be on the hook for the GBP because Mugabe might not like Churchill, but he loves playing "Money Messiah".

Notice that Sarkozy of Socialist France wants nothing to do with a global bailout.

When the Taliban described Hillary Clinton a lunatic, I was wondering why they just stopped with her?

And, make sure that you have a HazMat team on standby.

The government does nothing correctly
How often must this be repeatedly proven before we awaken and realize the jerks who represent us[Obama, Emanuel, Axelrod, Dodd, Frank, Rangel, Kennedy, Clinton, McCain,Biden Boehner, the list is endless] must not be voted back into any office.
Light bulbs are the least of the problem. We must demand term limits and vote out anyone who has served two terms in the House and one term in the Senate. Everyone must do this or the same dunces will be reelected.
The names mentioned above are responsible for the mess we are in and they never seem to leave-shame on us. They care nothing for us only about reelection and nepotism.

I always thought...
... that Obama wasn't the brightest bulb in the lamp; little did I know how literal I was.

No Debate...No Negotiations
For whatever reason, the subject of Climate Change (formally known as Global Warming and or Global Cooling)is not up for discussion. It's happening, it's man made and that's all there is to it. Any science that disputes it isn't real science. And these people talk about religious dogma.
Nancy Peloci would not open up the discussion on the House floor last year. Why should she? She is personally invested in "Clean Energy".Why would she open debate over something that she might lose money on?
Al Gore owns a company that sells Carbon Offsets. He can fly all over, leave his car running while he holds a seminar.
Don't cloud the issue up with facts.Never mind the expense to the consumer in the long run.Never mind the evidence of the Earth actually having it's own cycle.
Point is, like everthing else...follow the money. What we should be afraid of is this group of people who think "we" are destroying the planet in spite of evidence to the contrary. If they genuinely believe that "we" have that kind of power,do you think for one minute that "we" mean anything to them to say nothing of our doubts or question of their "science"?"We" are stupid and need "them" to save us from ourselves. They may have a point. "We" elected them.
Just a thought...

Ponzi scheme
Climate modeling that is used to "show" AGW, is both faulty and unable to re-create real world data. People that claim the climate debate is over (Al Gore) are the "Bernie Madoffs" of the climate change society.

.....Their recommendation is that the world's industrial powers must build CO2 generating plants to pump greenhouse gases into the atmosphere" ...

looking out my window
It is April 2nd. I sit here is Spokane WA. looking out my window. I contemplate the evil mankind has done. Oh, looking out my window I understand now that we must give our all to king Obama and the high priest algore, so they can sacrifice at the alter of the U.N. I look out my window on April 2nd and see a snow storm. I know this is not the truth. Our planet is warming I am told. The snow and cold are just a precursor to the heat that is coming. In olden times this was called summer, now we know the truth of our ways we need capntrade. Everyone watch out for rouge waves as the ocean rises. Remember your sun tan oil. Remember too surrender your freedom to the fascist obama and all will be well. Then when you look out your window in the future, it will be thru bars.

CFB's
Why is it not okay to throw an unbroken, intact compact fluorescent bulb in your trash, but it's okay to throw a broken one (and all its compnents) in your trash?

Close, Jim, but not quite right-on
Ah yes, Jim, all will be injured by the new "skyrocketing" costs of energy. Except the producers will be called upon to pay the costs that would hurt the non-producers. We can't have The Poor sitting home watching cable TV in cold houses, now, can we? Not if the Statist-in-Chief has anything to say about it--and he DOES.

Just one thing after another
The ethanol mandates not only increased the CO2 emissions they were designed to reduce, but created food shortages leading to greater hunger in the world. But, our Masters, in their infinite wisdom aren't content with this.

You see, the lobbies (rent-seekers) who benefit from ethanol subsidies now want the government to mandate increasing the ethanol content in gasoline. This reduces BTUs, and has the potential to cause significant damage to combustion engines.

How many of you remember that the ethanol additives were the replacement for the toxic MTBE which also had been mandated by government? That fiasco ruined the ground water in many towns and also caused many automobile fires.

As someone inferred, we can't blame government for all of this because we let them do it to us.

Here it comes
"Fervently" is how America will henceforth engage in talks on global warming!?!?

Another nail in the American economic coffin. The Chinese would be laughing, if we weren't going to drag them down with us. Thanks to all the ignoramuses who voted for the left-wing radical Teleprompter. At least this particular "cost" will hurt the non-producing ignoramuses; not just the producers.

Global warming + Climate change = BS
Climate change has occurred all during the History of the Planet. Periods of warming and cooling happen. Look at this past Winter and ask some of those people who live in the eastern past of the country. It was a pretty damn cold winter back there. Climate change happens. It happened back when there were no Automobiles, Trains or Airplanes. Take a look back in History, is History even taught in school these days or has it been deemed an archaic and unnecessary subject by Liberals?

Another proposal by Will
A number of years ago, Mr. Will had a good idea to reduce the harm done by the congress critters. He suggested that the air conditioning be turned off in the Capitol building in the summer. Given the summer temperatures in DC, that alone would drive a lot of the critters out of town.

Now that the congress critters are intent on forcing all of us to be environmentally aware in the cause to fight "global warming", perhaps they should give up the air conditioning as an example to those of us who need examples of leadership by our lords and masters. If they really want to help, they could leave off the heat in winter, also.

Ozone layer
For those of us who were in elementary school in the seventies, I have two words OZONE LAYER.
Does anyone know what happened to the perilous hole in the ozone layer that was supposed to open up direct, searing, global melting rays of sunlight that would destroy the globe??!! The "climate change" hysteria is the modern version of the seventies' ozone layer. Let's all make bets one what the next decade's version of environmental hysteria will be!! Give a hoot don't pollute - remember that one??!!

game
Bush's error was in attending these congerences at all. Everybody grow a set.

Squiggly bulbs
After remodeling my kitchen two years ago, I decided to be a "patriotic American" and buy the "green" lightbulbs for my new light fixtures. I did not know that once broken, they require a haz-mat team clean up and disposal. Ofcourse I broke one and was a nervous wreck trying to clean it up, evacuate my family from the house and fit into my gas mask to haul it to a EPA approved disposal site. Can't wait for the next bright idea from the Glorbal Warming crowd.

Subtle name change...
Does no one notice the debate in the seventies was, "The Coming Ice Age." Then, in the late nineties the debate was, "Man-made Global Warming." And after ten years of annual cooling the debate has suddenly become, "Climate Change."

Don't let these fascists define the terms.

How Much Mercury

Hang on to your failed flourescents. We could be seeing a new market for them.

Debate, over?
AlGore, the Dems, liberal "sky is falling" liberals are about to find out that the American public are not so dumb, afterall. 'They' try to scam us into taxing ourselves over "Cap and Trade," but we ain't buyin' it! It seems to me that overconfidience in this area will sink 'cappping' anything, because even "Blue Dogs" will sit up and bark at this one. Obamba-lama better learn that the internet helped him scam us into electing him, but it's a double edged sword. The more access to information, the more we find out that he and AlGore are lying, sinister, cynics, that it will be their undoing. 2010, will be a "watershed" year for Dems.....2012, will allow us to get rid of this "Kenyan" who never should've been elected anyway.

Environmentally driven Social Archetect
This is how 20 Million Africans were killed (malaria) by "Silent Spring" hysteria over the past 40 years. Climate change hysteria - the NEW killer. Now that the religion of "green" is embedded in the minds of everyone under age 50, it is easy for the high priests to direct the flock for the "good of mankind and the state". Meanwhile none of these great religious leaders are suggesting people stop throwing trash out along the roadways.

Barack Obama = Big Optics
What is the common thread in the following?

* President Barack Obama fires GM's CEO, but leaves the Union alone
* President Barack Obama denounces the AIG employees over their bonuses, after signing the bill that made the bonuses possible
* President Barack Obama's budget provides unprecedented levels of funding for UHC, Cap-and-trade etc.

In all cases, "It's the Optics, stupid!". If it looks good (to the cheering mob, driven by class envy), do it.

Populism reigns supreme in President Obama's administration. Of course, his supporters have invented a new name for it .. OPTICS!

This isn't just the "era of big Govt .. " .. welcome to the era of BIG OPTICS!

Barack Obama = Big Optics .. it's all smoke and mirrors.

Mercury light bulbs--great for terrorist
Imagine what a terrorist (or mischievous teenagers) could easily do by breaking these bulbs in malls, schools and hospitals.

Imagine the law suits waiting to happen with these devices.

Where are the environmentalist nazis on this one?

Dim bulbs...
Folks, this article is not about light bulbs. We would be truly fortunate if Big Gov was totally occupied with light bulbs and football playoffs. They are not.

These people have every intention of controlling and taxing EVERY aspect of your life. They have complete and utter contempt for the Constitution, which most of them have never read.

Well beyond incompetent, they are malevolent, egomaniacal criminals who would eat their children if it gave them more power. They have so far destroyed the currency, ravaged the financial system, abandoned our borders, and squandered our wealth for generations to come.

The only peaceful means of stopping them is to vote out every incumbent, which we are too stupid and lazy to accomplish. In the final analysis, we and only we the people are to blame.

OUR LADY OF THE MANY BREASTS
As government is God for Obama and the Left did you ever wonder what this deity would look like if it assumed a physical shape? Well the ancient Ephesians provided the answer in the form of Our Lady of the Many Breasts. Click ApolloSpeaks and take a peek at Diana of Ephesus: Goddees of the Nanny State. You will be appalled.

This global warming is so DUMB
that is is difficult to continue suffering its discussion. These people are true, certifiable, idiots, who believe this nonsense. Absolute, walking morons. Who deserve to be sanctioned if they regulate any hard working American's money out of his or her pockets. What a bunch of drooling, foolish, slobbering, whimpering, simpians. The immorality of these (mostly) elitist's plans to steal from us to line their own pockets (as they administer the anti warming crusade) is beyond comprehension.

hyped up lie
Much like our "Enemy of the State" president - puppet boy Obama, these light bulbs are a hyped up hoax that are really more hazardous than they are useful. Wake up America.

Will is archaic
fervent |'f?rv?nt|
adjective
having or displaying a passionate intensity : a fervent disciple of tax reform. See note at eager .
• archaic hot, burning, or glowing.

It has been known for years these bulbs
are a hazard and perhaps to small children if accidently broken. Plus the gas you use to ride to a disposal. Just pure folly. Another congressional mess that probably creates a pork barrel for someone.

So tell me
How can George Will write one superdumb article advocating challenging the economic stimulus laws in courts virtually guaranteed to uphold them- then write a common sense article like this one?

ONLY THE LIGHTS ARE BRIGHT IN CONGRESS
COWBOY WISDOM TRUMPS COMMON PERCEPTION
These people really are April fools.
