We’re back, folks! Episode nine, which means we still haven’t been fired. The Left decided to deliver two slaps to America this week. Nike has made former NFL QB Colin Kaepernick the face of their Just Do It campaign; Kaepernick is the controversial player who started kneeling during the national anthem. These antics led to President Trump taking a shot and clinching a cultural win. It wasn’t hard: if you trash the flag, you lose the war. With 72 percent of Americans thinking this kneeling nonsense was unpatriotic and a majority now saying it’s inappropriate, you have to wonder what the hell is going on? How dense of a bubble do you have to live in to think that this was a good idea? It’s almost as bad as pushing out male cheerleaders.
The second affront was the omission of the flag-planting scene in the upcoming First Man film about the Apollo 11 moon landing. We beat the Russians to the moon. It was a great day for Americans. It was a huge moment in the Cold War; we won the space race. And it was a key moment in American history. You won’t see that with this film. They focus more on the human achievement, which is total crap. Yes, it was a human achievement, but it was Americans who won. The new rules of left-wing cinema are, take a terrible event in American history, film every aspect of it, and call it a significant chapter in our history. Remind the audience that it sucks to be citizens of this country because… if it’s something that makes the country, the troops, or our culture look good, you have to bury it. It might be offensive.
It took merely three minutes for the Senate Judicial Committee hearings on Judge Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court to go off the hinges. There were pervasive interruptions from loser Democrats and scores of unhinged left-wing activists being escorted from the room due to their outbursts. It’s par for the course—and this clown show will continue all friggin’ week.
In lighter news, a Florida couple should be given an award for innovation. They turned their trailer park home into a drive-thru…for illegal drug dealing. They reportedly used their kitchen window to pass customers narcotics. It even had business hours. And yes, they’ve been arrested.
In other news, Notre Dame Fighting Irish triumphed over longtime rival Michigan over the weekend, beating them 24-17 in their season opener. Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh is now 1-6 against the program’s top rivals and 0-17 on the road against ranked opponents. The NFL 2018 season begins this Thursday as well, with the Atlanta Falcons playing the Philadelphia Eagles, the reigning Super Bowl champions, at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday.
