Meet Jody Stelzig, Weapons Wrangler for the Movies

Editor's note: This piece was originally posted on Guns.com.

The HBO series Westworld is a dystopian thriller where an Western-themed amusement park full of cyborgs revolt against greedy corporate creators. Suffice it to say there’s a lot of gunplay. And when Hollywood wants the thrills to feel real, they turn to people like weapons wrangler Jody Stelzig.

Stelzig is a jack-of-all trades – acting, stunts, fight coordinating – who specializes in training actors how to safely handle weapons and animals. In addition to providing all the weapons used on the award winning Westworld’s interactive production at SXSW, he teaches those interested in the craft at his ranch The Rockin’ J out in Luckhart, Texas.
