What We're Thankful For: Happy Thanksgiving From The Townhall Team

The editorial team here at Townhall would like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. Here's some of the things we're thankful for in 2017:

***

They say gratitude it the key to happiness, and boy do I believe that is true. This Thanksgiving, and always, I am grateful for my wonderful family (including the spoiled, four-legged member), this incredible country and those who serve to protect it, good friends, wonderful colleagues, and a healthy mind, body and soul. May we never take a single day for granted. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

I'm thankful, as always, for my wonderful family, my incredible friends, my fantastic colleagues, and my good health. It's been an interesting and exhausting political year, but I'm reminded of my many blessings every day.  On the sports front, I'm thankful for a winning Northwestern football team, a rejuvenated New York Yankees franchise, and an up-and-coming New Jersey Devils hockey squad.  I'm also thankful for wine and Netflix.

I’m thankful to my trustworthy and never-changing God. I’m thankful to my family (especially my niece Payton who turns two next month!) I’m thankful the Buffalo Bills do not have a losing record this year (as of this writing.) I’m thankful that by this time next year I’ll be a Mrs. Speaking of, I’m thankful to my fiancé, Hudson, and his patience as I do my best not to become a Bridezilla. I’m thankful for the opportunity to write every day. Finally (but not least!) I’m thankful to my fun coworkers and the ever lively and loyal Townhall readership. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s Thanksgiving! There’s a lot to be thankful for this year. First, I'm grateful to have such a loving and supporting family, and for having a healthy family; blessedly no one has been afflicted with cancer or other chronic ailments. Incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such great colleagues and being part of Townhall team. Of course, here’s a toast to celebrating this holiday by living in the greatest country on earth. I’m thankful for our troops at home and abroad, who keep us safe from our enemies, our law enforcement that keeps us safe on a daily basis, and the rest of our first responders. Here’s also to our veterans; your service allows us to celebrate with our families today in peace and safety, even when the NFL egregiously kicked you in the teeth this year. Also, and this something I was appreciative of last year: I'm so, SO thankful that Hillary Rodham Clinton is not president of the United States.

By the time this is published, I’ll be in Ireland and finally setting foot on the land my great-grandparents departed a little over a century ago in search of a better life in the USA. That being said, I’m incredibly thankful to the United States for being the land of opportunity and for being a place where my family could thrive (but i’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking forward to a Guinness right from the source).

It’s been a year of ups and downs. I’m thankful for the opportunities I've had to travel this year (Canada, Israel, Mexico, the UK, France, and Ireland) and to have been able to explore this beautiful planet. I'm thankful for my family, including my new baby cousin. I'm thankful for podcasts, British chocolate, Disney parks, noise-reducing headphones, Skype, and Reddit. And as always, I'm thankful for my faith--it's gotten me through the toughest parts of this year. Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm thankful for my friends and family, especially my parents and my sweet goddaughter. I'm thankful for being welcomed by my colleagues and friends here at Townhall over this past year. I'm thankful to God for all the things and people with which He has blessed me and continues to bless me.

I am thankful for my new position with Townhall! It has been a blast! I am thankful to live in America and for the men and women in service whose sacrifice makes our freedom possible. Most of all, I am thankful that I am blessed with my two brothers, two sisters, and my mom as my personal heroes. I would be remiss if I didn't mention something that I have been saying since I was 12: I am also thankful for Tom Brady and Taylor Swift. Happy Thanksgiving!

This year has been full of changes. I'm thankful for all of the opportunities God has given me and for all the doors He has opened and will continue to open. I'm thankful for my loving family and friends and all of their support. I'm also thankful for Townhall and my coworkers, who have made me feel welcome as the new intern. Here's wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!

2017 has been a tremendous year, and there’s plenty to be thankful for. Most of all I’m thankful for my awesome family (especially my Mom) and friends. I’m also very thankful to be a part of the amazing Townhall Media team; coming in to work with them everyday is a yuuuuge privilege. I'm thankful for the endless entertainment of Twitter (looking at you, @RealDonaldTrump), and I'm also STILL extremely thankful that Hillary Clinton did not win the presidency last year.

Finally, we all should be thankful every day that we have the freedoms we do, and remember the men and women who have given so much to protect our great country. This Thanksgiving take the time to give back to a Vet in need - it can really go a long way.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
