Twitter Ends Suggested Users List

The list hooked up new Twitter users with celebrity users as a kind of introduction to the program -- but favored Democrats over Republicans. That gave the donkeys an unfair advantage, with Democratic gubernatorial candidates being suggested to new users but Republican candidates remaining unknown.

Biz Stone, the co-founder of Twitter, decided to end the service altogether rather than accommodate Republicans.
