Leftists Mad At 2020 Candidates For Attacking Obama During Democratic Debate

It has finally happened. The Democratic Party has reached that point in its primary season where most candidates face a conundrum -- how can they possibly attack the frontrunner former Vice President Joe Biden without also attacking his former boss President Obama? Likewise, since the party has shifted so far left, how can they advocate their stances without attacking Obama as too moderate? In short, folks like Mayor Bill De Blasio, Senator Kamala Harris, Julian Castro and the rest of the cast on stage last night simply cannot both attack Biden and promote socialism while avoiding trashing Obama in the same process.

The former attorney general and self-proclaimed wingman to the 44th president Eric Holder issued a stern warning following the debate.

"To my fellow Democrats. Be wary of attacking the Obama record. Build on it. Expand it," Holder tweeted. "But there is little to be gained - for you or the party - by attacking a very successful and still popular Democratic President."

President Obama was attacked on a slew of issues such as the more than three million illegal aliens his administration deported. They attacked him on healthcare. They criticized him on climate change and coal. It seemed former Vice President Biden was the only one willing to defend those decisions, and at times even shied away from throwing his full support behind Obama.

After the debate, race-baiting icon of the left Al Sharpton declared, "This whole suicide mission of going after Barack Obama smells like desperation, and I think it certainly shows that some of them are just not ready for where they are," in a striking rebuke of many of the candidates.

President Donald J. Trump's son, Don Jr., commented that "It was nice to see Democrats finally go after Obama’s failed policies very aggressively. Wish they would have done that years ago."

Thursday morning, Neera Tanden, president of the leftist Center for American Progress, pointedly remarked: "Good  job everyone."

She also lamented that the GOP seemed to always honor the likes of  President Ronald Reagan and declared the attacks on Obama were her "outrage of the day."

These lefties are all correct. The more these candidates attack each other and Obama, the better it is for President Trump's re-election likelihood. And that's great for America.
