Trump The Madman Somehow Tricked A Bunch Of Democrats Into Defending MS-13 Thugs (Again)

It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world. In their earnest desire to ruin the current president of the United States with lies and slander, liberals, Democratic representatives, and presidential hopefuls have begun defending the virtuosity of violent gang members who stab their victims more than 100 times and set their bodies on fire. Why? For some reason, the left side of the aisle believes this gives them a moral high ground on President Donald J. Trump.

I wrote about this already but limited the examples in my article to Joy Reid at MSNBC and a New York Times columnist. I should have waited because now President Trump has unwittingly tricked boatloads of Democrats into defending MS-13 gang members. The astounding thing is that he wasn't even trying to do so.

After hearing a quote of President Trump supposedly calling asylum seekers "animals" that was tweeted on Friday night by Mark Elliot, somebody who is for all intent and purposes a Twitter rando, Democrats simply had to rush out and condemn the president.

The great irony here is that this all stemmed from a clip that was already debunked last year after the first time a media brouhaha occurred because of this deceptively edited video. Here's what I wrote yesterday about Elliot's clip:

Indeed, if Elliot had simply started the video just seconds earlier, his audience would know the president was absolutely referring to MS-13 gang members and not asylum seekers.

Sheriff Margaret Mimms of Fresno County, CA, lamented the fact that Immigration and Customs Enforcement does not have access to her database of "bad guys" because of Sanctuary City laws prevent them from doing so, she told the roundtable. At the end of her speaking slot, she remarked, "There could be an MS-13 member I know about — if they don’t reach a certain threshold, I cannot tell ICE about it."

The president responded by saying:

"We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — and we’re stopping a lot of them — but we’re taking people out of the country. You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people. These are animals. And we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before. And because of the weak laws, they come in fast, we get them, we release them, we get them again, we bring them out. It’s crazy. The dumbest laws — as I said before, the dumbest laws on immigration in the world. So we’re going to take care of it, Margaret. We’ll get it done." emphasis added

Regardless of the facts, Democratic politicians, advisors, and liberal activists alike fretted this was the beginning of a national genocide and the dehumanization of fellow global citizens, or whatever they call MS-13 gang members who illegally come into the country.

The Washington Free Beacon's Alex Griswold screenshotted numerous individuals who possibly believed that President Trump was indeed referring to asylum seekers. These tweets include former Obama adviser Ben Rhodes, gun control activist David Hogg, liberal Jesuit Catholic priest Father James Martin, editor and publisher of TPM Josh Marshall, and even the Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez.

But, let's give these people the benefit of the doubt. Let's suppose they aren't actually defending MS-13 gang members from a mean name. Let's just believe that they are morons who couldn't be bothered to do a maximum of three minutes worth of research. Whatever, nothing new there. It's a shame, but not surprising that they are ignoramuses who tweet whatever it takes in order to defeat President Trump.

But, this still wouldn't explain what happened when Democratic presidential 2020 candidates Pete Buttigieg, Kirsten Gillibrand, and media member Dan Rather jumped into the commentary.

We'll start with Mayor Pete. He offered a straightforward condemnation of the remarks, saying "You do not refer to human beings as animals. You just don't." One might point out if they behaved in a beastly manner, then calling these creeps "animals" seems to be an accurate description.

Then, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand from New York, who was elected years ago based on being tough on illegal immigration lest we forget, got even more aggressive. She, like so many others, accused the president of being racist. She said his "language" would lead to violence.

Of course, she might want to ask MS-13 gang members if perhaps their previous bouts of "violence" was sparked by somebody making fun of them, but I digress.

And then, finally, we get to Dan Rather. He first accused the president of scapegoating our fellow human beings. He warned President Trump's words would be "words weaponized into bloodshed."

Which, to be clear, it would be pretty ghastly if President Trump called actual asylum seekers "animals." It would be beyond ghastly actually. It would be callous and evil.

But, once again, he did not call these people animals. He called ruthless killers with no respect for human life "animals." Did Dan Rather know this? Well, actually, turns out that he did and still felt the same way.

Now, let's make something clear. Every human being, no matter how depraved their soul, has a chance for redemption. If they honestly repent for their sins, they will be loved by God. But, who really cares if folks whose mantra is "mata, viola, controla”  which means "kill, rape, control," are called "animals" by the President of the United States amidst promises to keep them out of the country and keep American citizens safe? Well, Democrats care apparently. There are many more examples not included in the piece of Democrats defending MS-13. This isn't necessarily the best platform to run on, but who am I to tell somebody else what to do?

All I can think of the final scene in "It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world." For the left, knocking down Trump is the elusive briefcase of money the cast of the movie has been trying to get. Just as in the movie, with completely calamity and insanity, the Democrats who pile on the president and join the race end up ruining themselves for the world to watch. In the process, they lose their minds and cause complete destruction. Indeed, it's a mad, mad, mad, mad, world thanks to the craziness of the left in the age of Trump.
