Trump Makes It Clear: No Tolerance for the Violence Leftists Once Ignored

President Donald Trump wasted no time stepping in to restore law and order in Los Angeles on Saturday as violent anti-ICE protests spiraled out of control. While the Left predictably rushed to label his response an "overreaction," Americans remember all too well what happens when Democrat-led cities let civil unrest fester—just look at 2020. Back then, we watched cities burn while progressive politicians made excuses for looting, rioting, and attacks on law enforcement. However, with Trump in office, the president has made it clear he won’t stand for that. And under his administration, violence and chaos won’t be tolerated.

While Trump refuses to let history repeat itself, Democratic politicians are melting down over the president’s actions, calling him “deranged” for taking decisive action and calling in 2,000 National Guard troops to deal with the violent anti-ICE agitators. Anti-ICE protestors were throwing rocks and hurling Molotov cocktails at law enforcement agents who were simply doing their job of removing dangerous illegal aliens from the streets of LA left-wing pundits accused Trump of “overreacting.” Instead, they would rather see the city burn and cause chaos.

During the Biden administration, when the George Floyd protests saw cities such as Portland and Minneapolis burn, protestors were coddled and allowed to take over sidewalks. However, with Trump in office, rioters will be held accountable for their actions, and law enforcement will be supported, not made out to be the criminals.

Unlike those who got off with nothing more than a slap on the wrist for their actions in the 2020 riots, FBI Director Kash Patel made it clear on Saturday that if you “hit a cop, you’re going to jail.”

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino echoed Patel's warning, saying that the "days of chaos ruling the streets are over. Either obey the law, or go to jail, there’s no third option."

On Saturday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) showed footage of the violent protests and rioting in Los Angeles. Photos showed people had spray-painted anti-police and anti-ICE sentiments on cars, signs, and buildings. They attacked law enforcement officers and violently attempted to interfere with the ICE raids.

Many of the illegal immigrants ICE was targeting during its operations included gang members, convicted sex offenders, violent gun offenders, and drug offenders.
