Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker announced his support for former President Donald Trump, saying his decision came down to one major issue.

“I’m supporting the president that’s going to be the most pro-life president,” Butker told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham on Thursday. The Pro Bowl kicker said he believes Trump is right when it comes to one of the most crucial issues facing the 2024 election: abortion.

“I want us to be fighting for the most vulnerable, fighting for the unborn, and that’s what we should prioritize,” Butker added. “I think you have to vote for whoever is gonna be the most pro-life, and we have to be prayerful men that put God first. I think that’s what’s going to be best for our country.”

On the contrary, Vice President Kamala Harris can’t decide where she stands on most issues but has focused her entire campaign on her support for abortion.

Butker also endorsed Republican Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Minn.) for re-election, praising him for being a "family" and "godly" man.

“We decided to stay in Kansas City, and I thought, who else would I want to hit the campaign trail with than Sen. Josh Hawley, who we've spent the last several years together forming this relationship, and he's a family man, he's a godly man, and there's no other person I'd want to support to be the first candidate that I'm endorsing,” the Chief’s player said.

Hawley echoed similar remarks about Butker, applauding him for not being afraid to “Speak the truth” and “Stand on the principles that this country was founded on.”

“When the left came after him in such a crazy, nutty way this last spring, he didn't give an inch. And we need more of that in the United States of America," Hawley continued.

Butker made headlines after giving a Catholic-focused, family-first commencement speech at Benedictine College earlier this year.

While, praising the female graduates, he also said that they have been told "diabolical lies" and should put value into being a “homemaker” who takes care of the house, her husband, and her kids.

He received hate, with many claiming the football player attacked women’s and LGBTQ rights.

“There's nothing shameful if you are a woman and you want to spend time with your family and raise your children, so it's not putting down anyone who maybe wants to go get a great education and have a career,” he said. “But it's more talking about how beautiful it is for women to maybe just step aside and prioritize their family and spend time with their children and raise their family. And that's what I was just trying to speak love about."
