After rumors of a potential nomination, President Trump made it official and tapped US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell to be the Acting Director of National Intelligence. The president lauded Grenell’s service to both the country and the Trump Administration, and signaled that Grenell will remain in a permanent capacity of some sort:

The news of Amb. Grenell’s new position has Obama officials and many on the Left in complete meltdown mode:

Ideology aside, Amb. Grenell could not be more staunchly different from these Obama Administration flacks. Ben Rhodes was the chief architect behind the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal and lied to anyone who would listen about the deal in order to shape a positive narrative. Samantha Power is said to be the administration official who unmasked the names of Trump allies from a classified intelligence report. Most notably, unlike former President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, Amb. Grenell has not lied to Congress while under oath.
