Here’s Who Was Arrested in Connection With a Deadly Shooting at a Texas Chick-fil-A

Last week, a person opened fire in a Chick-fil-A in the Dallas area and murdered two employees.

In a statement, the company confirmed that the two employees died. They were Patricia Portillo, 49, and Brayan Alexis Godoy, 31.

"Our hearts are broken by the tragedy that unfolded inside our restaurant Wednesday. We will miss our two Team Members dearly," the owner-operator of Chick-fil-A Las Colinas said in a statement. "Right now, our focus is on providing care for our Team and the victims’ families. I want to thank the Irving Police Department for their professionalism and compassion. We will continue working closely with them as they conduct their investigation.”

According to KSAT, the alleged shooter’s wife worked at the restaurant and she identified her husband as the shooter. Right now, the motive has not been reported.

Shortly after the suspect was arrested, an ICE spokesperson confirmed to Fox News Digital that the suspect is an illegal alien from El Salvador.

Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, 37, has reportedly been charged with capital murder.

"We can confirm that the suspect was taken into custody early this morning," a spokesperson for Irving Police Department told Fox News on Thursday. The spokesperson told the outlet that Argueta has an "ICE hold," with the warrant agency being Immigration and Naturalization Service Dallas/Fort Worth.

This is the latest in a slew of crimes that appear to be perpetrated by illegal aliens.

Last month, an illegal immigrant from Ecuador was arrested in connection with the rape of a 13-year-old girl New York City at a park in broad daylight.

Townhall covered how the 25-year-old illegal immigrant, Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, was taken into custody on Tuesday. Charges against him are pending. He reportedly entered the United States in 2021.

The illegal alien admitted in court to recording the attack as he became more “comfortable” during it.

In Houston, Texas, two illegal aliens were arrested in connection with the murder of a 12-year-old girl named Jocelyn Nungaray. Both suspects had their bail set at $10 million. The two illegals reportedly lured the girl under a bridge and assaulted her for hours before she was killed.

In Albany, New York, an illegal alien from Turkey was arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl.
