Obama's Green Jobs Czar Van Jones Resigns

Early Sunday, a  White House spokesman confirmed that embattled Green Jobs Czar Van Jones has resigned his position as a special advisor to President Obama, this after the latest shocking revelation that Jones had lent his support to an organization looking to investigate the U.S. federal government as the lead culprit behind the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

Despite NBC insistance that Jones resigned over the Sept. 11 petition and for calling former Presidet Gerge W. Bush a "crackhead," Jones' past also includes work with radical leftist organizations.

Predictably enough, Jones released the following statement, deflecting blame:
On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me.  They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.
An absurd statement considering most all of the evidence the Right has presented against Jones has been videotapes of his own public appearances and statements.  Apparently using videotape--what used to be considered hard evidence in journalism--has now been reduced by the Obama administration as "smear" tactics and "lies and distortions."  Nice.
