Lifelong Dem From New Mexico: After the RNC, 'I Have Made up my Mind....I'm Gonna Vote for Trump'

I’d never thought I’d be looking forward to anything on C-Span, but the reactions to the Republican National Convention after formal programming ended were fantastic. First, it was pretty much all Democrats calling in to say how they’re enjoying the RNC and explaining why they’re leaving their party to back Trump.

We covered this in other posts, but we’re not talking soft Democrats here. We’re talking about people with longstanding ties to the Democratic Party—lifelong Democrats who are just fed up with the radical nonsense engulfing the country. As with most patriots, the convention’s themes about hope, second chances, opportunities, liberty, and our founding principles was quite refreshing after the Democrats’ doom and gloom Zoom call which was their convention last week.

One man in Ohio said he loved how much God was referenced, which pushed him into the GOP camp this cycle—and he’s from Lorain which split heavily for Hillary Clinton in 2016. And speaking of Hillary supporters, one from New York, Jennifer, called on Wednesday night to say she did support Clinton in 2016, but she needs a change. She’s tired of the crime.

On the final night of the convention, there were a few Joe Biden folks calling in for once, though they could not give a full-throated endorsement of the guy. In that short time frame that you have to voice your opinion, one woman really was scrapping at the bottom of the barrel and could come up with nothing. One dude from Wyoming, who had trouble muting his television, said he just couldn’t stand Trump. Okay, then.

Yet, in New Mexico, “David” said he was a lifelong Democrat, but after watching Trump and the RNC, “I have made up my mind. I am definitely gonna vote for Donald Trump.”

“Susan” from Florida was on the fence. Not anymore—the RNC pushed her towards Trump. And “Rosie” from New York is from Venezuela and her reasons for backing Trump are no shocks to the system. He’s pro-life, and she’s seen what socialism has done to her home country.

CSPAN voters for Trump, many of them Democrats.

Let me tell you. With the conventions being over and the arrival of Labor Day, more Americans are going to start paying attention.  With the leftist violence still raging, they’re not going to like what they see and hear from Democrats regarding their quasi-endorsement of it.
